@Michelle92010 From what I understood in the past two days of me studying Cob, Cob homes have been made in England (one of the wettest places on earth) and have withstood over a century of heavy rains.
One of the largest, most deplorable facts of modern life...is that people inherently assume that they have to live in the various buildings that are for sale. Rarely do people stop and think before creating a home.
I'm still trying to figure out how one would build something like this while still working a full time job? It seems like building a Log Cabin would be a lot faster; something you could do in a few weekends with minimal help.
so if there comes a "GOOD" economy will you choose not to live sustainable. Pay taxes for useless wars. Generate wealth for the alredy rich. hey if you belive you do it in any economy and you make it beautiful funs safe and above all eisier and more fufilling than that suburban home the system wants to give people.
it is not fier proof but is a easy pray for ants :-)

Most houses in the villages of Iran are made of cob and they are very nice.

I've only just started learning about cob houses, but does anyone know how the house holds up with a large sound (music) system?

Ok, question. I live in the Seattle area. How would it do in an environment with heavy rain?

@aragon667 One cob dries, it's as strong, if not stronger than, concrete. Bugs are not an issue for cob.

The book is called "the Hand Sculpted House", not "the hand built house".

Yeah, my bad. I noticed that after uploading the video. Thanks for clarifying that though.
