  • This is such a beautiful composition. it stopped me dead in my tracks from surfing videos of yours. always loved your diy projects. Just curious what your clock divider circuit is based around? Simple divide by logic?

  • @circuitbent Thanks! It is one of two tunes from the same afternoon of fiddling. Here is the other youtube.com/watch?v=P3pCuU3nVQA

The clock divider is a single 4029 chip. The 4029 is a binary decade/hex counter chip. I set this one to hexadecimal so it would basically count whole, half, quarter, and eighth notes from the clock pulse. It is really very simple. I didn't even use buffers for the triggers, and the clock is just a pair of inverters, from a 4049 chip, a cap and a pot.

  • are you ready to make a commitment?

    or have you given up?

  • what?

  • this is great, I like it

  • that is very cool, love all your boutique step sequencer boxes, dude!

  • that is great man !!

    slow analog music .

    fantastic. ;-)

  • Thanks I really appreciate the comment. It is hard to slow down and makes this stuff with all the space between notes but I do like it.

  • Sounds like score for a haunted spaceship movie.
