I actually jumped off the falls from a cliff above the top back in 1981. The top of the falls are 120 feet so I believe my jump was about 130. I suffered a cracked sternum, severe bruising and was in shock. My buddy even got a picture. I hiked 10 miles out the next day.
It's in the Grand Canyon, I was reading about it awhile ago I think to get there you have to park your car in some parking lot and it's like a 2 hour hike from there.
When I was a teen we sat up on that ledge and watched this couple go down onto the beach for a little romance. we waited about 10 min. and then flipped on our flash lights... ahhh a full moon was out that night (lol) what a gr8 place
can anybody tell me if the campground is located at the falls or is far away and can going there be done without having to camp and is it usually crowded there??
I think it's like a 2 hour hike into the place from where you park your car, I wanna go there too. One of the waterfalls was washed away cause some damn broke and flooded. I wonder if it still looks as cool.
yeah our Arizona trip is done and over with we explored the whole state but never made it to the falls but i will go back and that really sux that one the waterfalls washed away....
@perkoff It's about 10.5 miles from the parking lot (Hualapai Hilltop) to the falls. Stuff washes away in Havasupai due to flashflooding, not broken damns.
