Tasavuff (sufi) are the artists of Al Islam, they show his love for all his children. May you two learn to love, for love is the blood of Allah, and love is the fundamental base of the words of The Prophet.

yes! sami yusuf is acceptable! if not give me a reason? this is allowed and is not shirk! they r sufis the ppl who remember god! is it shirk to remember god? is it shirk to say la illah ha illala? No ofcourse NOT!! they move this way because they get so into the dhikr they cant control themselves! there is a hadith that says-do the dhikr of allah so that when someone sees u they will think ur mad!!!
I think all these differnt colors of islam should be celebrated. If my chechen ancestors enjoyed this way so be it. Though I am from Chechen Shiite, I respect these traditions and will join them anytime.
This is not how you praise Allah and his Prophet(saw). Rean Quran people and follow Sunnah and you will not get lost. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did NOT practice Islam in this way.
I know the Chechen brothers have their hearts in the right place and are good Muslims but if you study Islam properly, it's actually Shirk to do this sort of stuff, especially with all the chanting and mystic Sufi practises. And Shirk is unforgiveable by Allah. May Allah guide them to the correct way of the Deen, Inshallah.
