If you have any experience with building computers, or aren't scared of trying (Its actually quite easy), buy the components you can effort and built the pc you're self. If you have a PCI express port on you're current mainboard, and a descent cpu and ram, all you need to buy is a new graphics card and you're ready to play(If you're power supply is good enough). Most games now days focus a lot on graphics so graphics cards is what you will find you're self having to upgrade most of the time.

Well anyways your graphics card doesn't have enough memory for ultra high, your CPU stock would be OK, and your RAM is very small.

hmm... not all aspects on ultra high, seeing as your processor should ideally be around 3.0ghz for extreme gameplay, and your graphics card is part of the gs series, which isn't as good as the nvidia gt series.

thanks for ya comment Cessna154 your right about the f18 being the only modle worth gettin accel for but the 1 by aerial foundry is also excellnt the onlt plus to it over the acell model is the afterburner effects but the vc isn't as good as the accel one either which in my opinion looks excellent especially the hotas stick! plus can i say that your scenery looks amaising i wish my pc was up 2 that mate!!!

i'd only use dx in vista ive got accelleration and it doesnt work on my pc which is an xp model but the normall fsx works good enough like but if ya want planes like these without accelleration u have to pay for them from lots of different manufactures.

I recently switched to 32 Bit Vista after initially trying Vista then going back to XP and then back to Vista now. There is much confusion whether DX10 will work with XP or not and I don't even have the answer to that. I do know that DX10 cards will NOT provide much of a "boost" to game performance... DX10 cards will not be able to provide any true measured gain in performance until the drivers are better... :)

Too bad FSX doesn't recognize 4 GB of RAM properly and the 4th core on the CPU is not used unless you manually tweak the coding... Coolxboxgamer has a nice PC...

I just checked online and found they are close to the same. I should let you know that theses cards will NOT provide anywhere near enough power to play FSX, and FS2004 gameplay would not be very good either...those cards are very weak. I would recommend soemthing much more powerful, but not every computer can handle powerful graphics...

Well, I guess my first question is what do you consider good gameplay? Do you like Frame Rates of 5-10? It should also be noted that the demo is very misleading because the demo only includes a small section or map; in the real game, your computer has to load up far more graphics. The computer you stated above would not be able to handle FS2004 at medium settings, and Definitely not FSX...

Well, All I would like is to play FSX with at least 6-7 Frame Rates. I am really after performance and not really quality. I have just realized that my NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE is integrated so I will be basically be adding a 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 to my PCI slot along with 2GB of RAM...WOW! I should be able to at least get 5-7 frame rates at a "OK" graphics setting...

Yeah, that is better (not amazing though), but I just want to make sure your graphics will not be like mine. Also, understand that the intergrated graphics card will be shut down and not operate once the other card is in. What is your budget? Are you ordering a new PC? I could find a better setup for you if you gave me a budget to work with...

Really? I have a good res, and med settings with acceleration installed (With Deluxe) Sp1 and Sp2, I can get 12-19 FPS in built-up areas with 20fps in areas like Friday Harbour

You know what, you're pretty much wrong with your thoughts on my PC. The thought that my graphics card is 10-20 times slower than your is simply a stupid thing to even say... The 7950 GT I use speaks for itself and the videos I provide showcase its power... My processor is also able to handle anything I throw at it. You must realize that FSX does not use the 4th core on your CPU and the 4th GB of RAM-simple computer coding prevents it...

actually no.... with my 64-bit vista ultimate i can use every scrap of my 4gb of ram... hell if i installed 128gb of ram i could use it (64-bit max is 128gb)

Vista has its limitations, and so does FSX.  From my discussion with FS add-on software developers I can safely say there is issues with the 4th core and 4th GB of RAM operating correctly... Case closed, no need to argue over this pointless stuff...
