We have lots of social networking tools, which have allowed for mainstream culture to branch out and grow in countless ways. So why then is it an issue now? Because IMO it seems the people portraying the message don't meet up to what he thinks they should look and be like. And so what if our culture glorifies getting partying? This is what all young people have done and will do past and present. It's just been the focus of media and attention. When you are young having fun is a huge focus of existence, but it's not the only aspect of mainstream culture. Not to mention mainstream culture is still being shaped.
