  • I completely understand why John sprayed the protesters I too would feel threatened by people tied up and on their knees it's human nature!

  • @hqman71 who was tied up?

  • There's no point trying to enlighten idiots who have allowed themselves to be brainwashed into supporting those who oppress them. Best to just let them blithely carry on in their never never dream world until the Gestapo kicks in their doors.

  • Comment removed

  • What I would really like to see is people taking cans of pepper spray and spraying it into the faces of the assholes who commented here condoning the police use of this weapon against people who are merely sitting on the road in protest. WTF is wrong with you idiots?

  • @RonzigsGallery they were warned many times to move so the police COULD LEAVE. They had them surrounded and wouldn't let them leave with the few people that were arrested for interfering with them removing the tents that people were illegally living in. The crowd then surrounded them and wouldn't let them leave, they warned them that if they didn't move so they could leave, action would be taken. Guess what happened then?

  • @thebatman101069 Since when is warning unarmed civilians who are posing an annoyance, but NO THREAT WHATSOEVER, that armed police are going to use their weapons on them justification for this atrocity? Where do YOU draw the line about what is acceptable force against non violent people exercising their constitutional right of assembly? How about tasers, or rubber bullets or tear gas or even real bullets; are they OK too?Tthis is not Syria. For God's sake wake up you fool.

  • @thebatman101069 Surrounded? Are you for real? They were sitting in a neat little row. Those kampus kops could have walked right around them. But they chose to engage in sadism. You sound like someone who worships anyone in a uniform. A true authoritarian. For heaven's sake, wake up. You're part of the 99 percent who are being squeezed by the 1 percent. OWS is in YOUR side.

  • @fantom58 Yes I'm for real, open your eyes, do some research, look at other angles of video and look up a video called "UC Davis Pepper Spray - What Really Happened" YES they were surrounded. Just the idiots on the sidewalk who refused to move got sprayed.

  • @thebatman101069 You have NO idea what OWS is all about, do you?

  • @fantom58 Yes I know what occupy wallstreet is all about...it's all about a bunch of whiney crybabies who are part of the "everyone gets a trophy, no one is a loser" generation who think they're entitled to things they didn't earn and the world owes them a living. What does keeping police from doing their job and surrounding them and yelling "fuck the police" have to do with OWS? You have no idea what law enforcement is do you?

  • @thebatman101069 Obviously you watch too much Fox News and listen to too much AM Talk Radio. You can only speak in the cliches the one percent wish you to speak. And YOU have no idea what "false conciousness" is, do you? Try looking it up.

  • @fantom58 I don't watch the news, it's never complete and never shows the full story, as this video... did you watch the video that shows a LOT more than just what was shown here and what they did? No, of course you didn't, you'd rather just bitch about the 1% and that would defeat your argument.

  • @RonzigsGallery Exactly. If this was any other country, those kampus kops would have been seriously injured or killed. If they tried that shit in any inner city neighborhood, they'd have been torn to shreds. This isn't 1930s India. Peaceful protest doesn't work anymore, the 1 percent just laughs at it.

  • dumbass protesters thought it would be a good idea to trap the police..they thought wrong

  • For their own safety? When at any point were the protesters getting violent? They were sitting on the ground, WATCH OUT THEY MIGHT SIT NEAR US, PEPPER SPRAY THEM

  • @ZydosTheDrake they were preventing the police from leaving with the individuals they arrested earlier in the video..if you think this is the full thing than your a moron..look up the full video and your will learn that this whole Occupy shit is pointless...unemployed hippies just want a free handout because they don't want to get a job..they deserve to get pepper sprayed and shot with riot control guns if they interfere with police business

  • @Flyhazeman22 You're a fucking idiot, did you know that? There's more to life than BF3 and Screamo, like a corrupt nation who's fucking over the public maybe?

  • @ZydosTheDrake First: i don't listen to screamo, its called Deathcore bitch!! Second: i love BF3! how did that even come up in this conversation?? oh yeah i know, your a cunt who thinks they are tough by looking at peoples profiles to see what they like then make fun of them for it. You see i would make fun of you for what you like but i'm not an asshole. Third: sit down, shut the fuck up, and keep pretending like you can make a difference just like these ignorant hippies...p.s. your uneducated!

  • That cop is now an internet sensation spraying everyone and everything ha

  • That is so rediculous

  • @Kmckee13 idiot.

  • This is unconstitutional, its not comforting to know that if I can no longer peacefully protest without having violence inflicted upon me, this isn't 1984!!!

  • @TheMeanGreenBean they were preventing the police from leaving with the individuals that they arrested earlier (not peaceful)..and they would not make a path for the police to get through..so they got what they deserved

  • Anyone remember WHY they were blocking the pathway??

  • @SoEyeSay they wanted them to set their fellow hippies free...which by law once an individual is arrested they must be processed and charged

  • @Flyhazeman22 WRONG. They must be charged with a crime or released within a certain amount of time, usually 2 days.

  • Police used pepper spray for their own safety? They just sat there...

  • dumbass students -.- they were given several warnings and even a warning of the pepper spray... still they just sat there -.-

  • PEPPERSPRAY ALL THE THINGS ! ! !

  • nazi cops

  • For pete's sakes guys, you should really have the full knowledge of what happened before you jump to conclusions. Type "What really happened" at UC Davis on the youtube search engine.

  • i laughed my ass off when i saw this xD nice job dude

  • HAHA! Fucking dumb ass students. The Police rules and doesn't give a fuck. Without the police we'd all be living in caves and have no law and order. I'd be anarchy and you know it. Or you're just raised in a certain way which makes you hate cops. Or you and your friends got in trouble with the law because you're fucking idiots.

Don't hate the Police, hate the criminals(the real pigs and animals)

  • 0:37 muslim girl helps american student =)) peace

  • Oh no! You're sitting there! Someone hand me a rifle!

  • Where the outrage people? Seriously does anyone know what a can of pepper spray costs? As a concerned tax payer I wish the police officers would of just took out their night sticks and just beat the shit out of them. Its a lot cheaper and more effective.

  • @axo9 LMAO - bravo sir! bravo!

  • @axo9 You sir, speak the truth! should have just beat them.

  • @axo9 Too bad WW2 ended. You'd have made a perfect guard at Majdanek or Auschwitz. Still, there's always North Korea. They could use you there.

  • It's ok im a cop

Incredible Hulk: You cop? WORKS FOR HULK

  • gawd jerks >3> oh yeah armored police men are gonna get hurt by ppl sitting down w/e what a lame excuse D:

  • Wait wait? the polic...I mean Pigs, were worried about their 'safety' towards, Peaceful Protesters Sitting On The Ground?

    Fuck logic...

  • bitch please

  • Agumon was a cool digimon

  • Agumon: Pepper Breath!

Yeah, I wish agumon was there.

  • Some people are fucking retarded... Honestly, the protestors were making you feel threatened because they were sitting on the ground. Mean while, someone was probably being murdered or some actual crime was being committed.

  • USA are like in the midages^^

  • cop general "ok men pull out some students and shoot pepper spray right up there freaking nose" umm ok how is that fair

  • "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." ~John F, Kennedy

  • "conserned for their own safety"

YEAH SURE!!!! A group of totally fucking pieceful students just sitting there are going to be of harm to a group of well armed and trained police men.

    Holy shit, that's pathetic.

  • hAHAHAHA! this shit is hilarious

  • @ThaddeusBloodRaven I'll spray pepper spray in your face and see whether you think its funny then

  • @TRoastable I'm just laughing at these idiots. You'll pepper spray me for that? You're a peaceful little fuck now aren't you?

  • @ThaddeusBloodRaven I didn't say i was peaceful anyway, dont jump to conclusions or you might look like even more of a retard

  • @TRoastable We'll peacefully protest you about it.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=D93oEZ7GCEw Don't fool yourself, they were warned.

  • Comment removed

  • number of peaceful protesters arressted ALOT

    number of wallstreet bankers arrested.......none

    WTF?!?!?!

  • for your own safety, we are going to hurt you with pepper spray!

    WORKS FOR ME!!!!

  • i bet the arabs are confuse now , lol

  • @CaliCal68 fail.

  • Yes protesters who are peacefully sitting on the ground were gonna fuck up armed popo

  • two month anniversary... really? two MONTH anniversary?

  • They're coming right for us!

  • Yeah, those people sitting there with their heads down really looked like they were about to get up and kill one of those cops at any moment. Good job officers, way to keep the peace you fucks.

  • shittt capitalism

  • i personally dont agree with obama and i think what he is doing is hurting this counrty and trying to take the guns from use. But this bullshit has to stop a bunch ogf hippe fuckes. in a park cant be safe

  • fucking US-regime

  • Thank u pepper spray those morons need to get a life and a job

  • There's no constitutional right to block public walkways. They could easily have spouted their ignorance in a way that didn't violate everyone else's constitutional right to move about freely via that public walkway. Public officials always are well within their power to force the opening of public paths obstructed by protesters like these ignorant college brats. Any other means of removing these clowns could have caused more harm to them and to the officers. Pike done good.

  • ...Joined the Marines in '89, promoted to sergeant. In 2003, Pike receives his first meritorious service award for using his patrol car to stop a man from driving the wrong way. 4 years later, Pike received accolades for subduing a UC Davis Medical Center patient threatening a fellow officer with scissors and a spray bottle filled with a caustic chemical. Pike lands a body block, powering his left shoulder into the scissors-wielding patient. Nobody's hurt. The man's a hero.

  • @happystance3able Do you honestly think this reaction would be any different if they where sitting somewhere else? Pike used excessive force, end of story. He had no right to assault a privet unarmed citizen exercising his right to protest and assembly to protest, a right protected by the UN. If this had happened in china republican Americans would be furious, but since it opposes with there ideals it's "Evil" and "ignorant".

  • @TXandUK >>Do you honestly think this reaction would be any different if they where sitting somewhere else?<<

Absolutely, and I know this because there were lots of other protesters there and they weren't sprayed. These protesters grew frustrated by how stupid their ideas sound when expressed out loud, so they took to intentionally setting limits on the freedom of other people; throwing a tantrum by preventing the use of a public walkway everybody has a right to use. They're stupid pricks.

  • @happystance3able

there are no designated areas to protest. They didn't take away freedom from anyone.

  • @worldmayhem >>there are no designated areas to protest<<

Therefore they can block public walkways? That's a non sequitur. Besides, there should'nt be designated areas to protest. They can protest anywhere in public. I support that right; their right to spout their ignorance anywhere. They just can't obstruct public walkways. Those are for all of us to use for the purpose of moving about freely in public. They took away that freedom from everybody. Our law-enforcement heros got it back for us.

  • @happystance3able

our LE heros got it back for us? You're not paying attention. YOUR FREEDOMS ARE BEING TAKEN AWAY AND YOU SEEM TO BE HAPPY ABOUT IT!!!!!!! You are a simpleton and a waste of my time.

  • if the cops never showed up they wouldnt have had to use pepper spray, not only that, they were not scared for their own safety the cop was taunting them shaking up the can for 5 minutes and waving it around. fatty was just mad he got bullied in school lol

  • "The police were concerned for their own safety"

If you watch the whole video, you could see that the protesters were doing NOTHING dangerous, except for sitting down on the grass. The fact that this cop pepper sprays peaceful protesters IN THE FACE REPEATEDLY for doing NOTHING wrong is absolutely appalling! Add to the fact the the police organization backs this asshole up for his actions makes me feel like throwing up. Shame on this cop and shame on this police organization! D:

  • did someone say motov coctails

  • they pepper sprayed that crowd of people because they where "in danger" and had to use to protect them selves. Is it just me or do those basterds have no good self judgment nor do they care if the collage has affordable coasts? What is this world coming to...? Go FIGHT some real crime stupid pigs.

  • don't wanna move? this happens.

think this is bad go to a third world country, they would of simply shot you.

  • @BrandonTheRemix So is that the excuse for a democratic country to abuse it's citizens "Oh we do it in a nicer way"

  • I don't think that they were protesting for a good reason but I also doubt that the police were in any sort of danger.

  • good job!!!! john pike love your work fuck those hippies

  • Im not sure scuffle is the right word.

  • stupid protesters they deserve it

  • Police just doing their jobs, something people doing these protests wouldn't know anything about.

  • bastards!!

  • You have no right to hold people hostage in buildings by blocking the entrances. Nor do you have the right to prevent them from entering by similar means. You also do not have a right to join arms to prevent people from moving about public pathways freely. Goons who forcibly restrict other people's freedom of movement deserve a free serving of vegetables--preferably in aerosolized form--paid for by the taxpayers. The police did a great job here. Wasn't ever necessary at Tea Party rallies.

  • Listen to the whole video! "take your contacts out!" Sounds like a film set; what it is, really. Drama queens directing an independent film; getting the performance out of the police they want while acting in their little melodrama starring themselves as the "oppressed". Of course, in reality, they're blocking the walkway--setting themselves up as the authority deciding who can and can't leave a public space via a public pathway. They're the thugs. But Leftists aren't about reality

  • @fiveinslide6 the thugs are politicians and corrupt bankers - right wing is all about fanaticism and orthodoxy: they think that the problems of USA are a bunch of students, not the endless greed of the powerful

  • @emiliob7878 >>the endless greed of the powerful<<

So you have a fix for greed? Giving government officials more power fixes greed? North Korea should be heaven on earth... In a free market, you don't get a dime for all your greed until you do something for somebody else that they're willing to pay you money for i.e. that they're wiling to help somebody else to earn the money for. Capitalism's the only known fix for greed; not political power. Political power's the path toward tyranny.

  • @fiveinslide6 do you really believe that corporations do not have, and excercise, political power? c'mon! stop being naîve! that kind of discourse is as ideological and orthodx as marxism!

  • @emiliob7878 >>do you really believe that corporations do not have...political power?<<

Not to the extent that markets are free. To the extent they're mired in the crony capitalism of socialists like Obama, yes, they have political power. For instance, Obama's giving $737 million to Tonopah Solar, a subsidiary of SolarReserve. PCG is an investment partner with SolarReserve. Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law happens to be the number two man at PCG. Yes We Can! That's what you like, huh? The mix. tsk

  • @fiveinslide6 free markets do not exist, only in basic economy texbooks - its like communism: orthodox theory for naîve ppl - the market is inextricably linked to political power, cuz economic power is used as political power - btw, if you think that obama is a socialist, I could say youre a fascist redneck - but neither thing is true - get serious!

  • The land of the free? HA-HA! Apparently not. "You're allowed to say whatever you want, but if you do, we'll f*cking pepper spray you in the face." Just a bunch of hypocrites..

  • I think its time to tar and feather a few cops. Drag them from their homes when they least expect it. They should be scared of us not the other way around.

  • @Subvert1024 violence is not the awnser even though in some cases it is ok... get it?

  • By the way, Good going America you made yourself look bad in front of the whole world, Once again. I seriously can not wait until the citizens of your country have had enough of your shit and the civil war between the American government and the American people starts.

  • @Twiztidninjas These idiots got what they deserved. They had the chance to leave and refused.

  • @OddRobb just like the black people that protested illegally against jim crow laws ... Yeahhhh!

  • @OddRobb Protesting is illegal? Where in the US constitution does it say you can assault unarmed civilians if they do not do what you say? They were not posing a threat to anyone, nor were they encouraging violence. Obviously the police officer was in the wrong considering he is currently suspended for his actions.

  • What the fuck did i just watch? that was not back and forth between protesters and police that was unarmed civilians sitting down and causing no harm and not being a threat to anyone. i would have attacked that ignorant fat fuck.

  • @Twiztidninjas They were given 24 hours notice to leave. They had been "occupying" that part of campus for a long time and was disrupting the entire university. They were given plenty of warning; so now they get to sit there and take it like a man since they chose to sit there despite orders to leave.

  • Horrible pictures, horrible treatment of students by the police. I will email and text my opposition to campus police. The students have a right to peacefully protest. Regards, Leo M., Chicago

  • Usually I wont support the attitude of the students personally I don't think protests is the way to change something but at 0:22 you clearly see he raises up the can. English is not my language this is why I'll try to explain it with an example: in bull fights the matador raises his sword and shows it to the public as a signal of his intention to end the fight with an advantage. That's is not fair I think this guy with uniform deserves a punishment a disproportional one for this action.

  • oh my god. fire those creeps now

  • Feared for their safety???????!!!!!!!!

  • CONCERNED FOR THEYRE OWN SAFETY. What. They were just sitting down and protesting, this is a direct offense to one of americas constetutional rights.

  • @SammaelTheLost

they didnt follow the polices orders. dont want to be peppersprayed, do what the cops tell you.

also be glad they didnt start beating the shit out of them.

  • @DXtoboDX Do what the cops tell you???!!! Are you insane you sheep??? Don't you realize that we are being forced into poverty with absolute control over us so that we can NEVER have any freedom to do ANYTHING unless we are given permission. They say FROG and you JUMP! There is NO CONSTITUTION left anymore!!!!

  • @jerramy

I know, back in the good old days, we can have black people for slaves, now we have no rights at all

  • @jerramy

They had been warned hours before the incident. You say you ''never have any freedom to do anything'', darling, both you and i know that isnt true. Protesting isnt illegal but when the protesters dont obey the polices orders, especially if they are told to move it becomes refusal to obey police officer, wich after what i have read is a crime. and like i said, be happy they didnt get beaten up.

  • @DXtoboDX

You did not catch the meaning of the word "protest" didn´t you? What kind of demonstration would it be if people would stand up and go home when they are told? Pepperspray is supposed to be used as a deffense! The policemen would have been able to arrest them without this shamefull exceedance.

  • If they got off the damn sidewalk that would not have happened. Protest with common sense.

  • " i'm $80,000 in the hole from my student loans and i didnt care to for-see the job market or demand for my major. let's protest and blame people for our problems. I went to college. i'm more valuable than the next guy because i went to college. can't people see why we're upset. we're valuable."

give me a fucking break you bunch of hippies. you're the same people that go to burning man and jam to music and think it's doing something productive.

"let them hear us in washington" lol losers.

  • @OugaOugaBouga lol, found it! Bankers!

  • "oww i got pepper sprayed for not moving my tent off of property that doesn't belong to me! POLICE BRUTALITY!"

  • "The tents aren't safe! What do we do?"

"Well, we could post 1 officer there in shifts 'round the clock until we convince them to leave. Might take a while but we'll probably be beloved at the school and hailed as defenders of free speech"

"One officer round the clock! Far too expensive! Send 25 in, tear the tents down. Bring riot gear just in case you manage to turn a bunch of nonviolent hippies into criminals with your incompetence"

    "??"

"Well, they might sit in an annoying place or something"

  • I go to school here, trust me the protests were non violent. The so called "mob" that you see crowded around them were just onlooking curious students. There was no "danger" to the cops. Honestly, the cops on campus here usually have nothing to do except post in front of the recreation center and look at girls. So it is no surprise to me that they didn't know how to handle this properly.

  • Holy mother Fucker

  • Safety? What danger?

  • Don't mind me, just watering my hippies.

  • @iNintendork LOL! PEPPER SPRAY! Great on Salads, Burgers, Pizza and Hippies! Although I agree tuition is stupid high.

  • What the fuck ... Talk about. A dick and. And what impatience .... Not to mentionwhat tax... Fuckn christ ... Goddamit ihate people. Who. Are stupid ...111sator@youtube .... Straight up. Sator inib. For face book. Stop or mad. Governers and. Herion. Users. Every where ... In the name of my name. Jarrett gornto ... Thankyou.

  • They're coming right at us!!

  • I am from Germany and I was shocked when I saw these pictures on TV, cause last year we had similar pictures on TV of a demonstration here against a mindless reconstruction of a trainstation in "Stuttgart"...The same pictures...Peaceful people attacted by Policemen..Last year, one of us was loosing his oppurtunity to see...And I ask me this question: Both of Us, Americans and Germans, are living in a system called "Democracy" which contains the oppurtunity to demonstrate...WHERE ARE WE GOING?!?

  • I hope Katehi gets violently raped and commits suicide because living with the memories are so horrible.

  • dumb monkeys should be in iraq fighting instead of been around us smfh

  • concerned about their safety....

yeah sitting on the ground is real dangerous to the cops. Yep..... -__-

  • FIRE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE PUSSY ASS COPS CAUSE THEY DONT KNOW THE BILL OF RIGHT FUCK THE POLICE 50KKKKK

  • Seriously people? Sure the people sitting down were "peaceful" but look at the freakin mob around them.

  • @Twistterclaw101 the police didn't spray the mob, pepper spray is used to negate hostility tear gas is to remove poeple from an area, they used pepper spray at point blank range at peaceful students.

  • @Twistterclaw101 Agreed. The protestors around them could pose a threat. The students who were seated and doing nothing but holding their head down to protect themselves were NOT a threat. These people are suppose to protect the peace, and instead they attacked the only people who posed no threat to them.

  • @falconstrife86 Let me put this in simple terms. The protesters were blocking public walkways (that's illegal). They wouldn't move. The police used non-lethal force to get them to move. The police didn't do anything wrong. The police don't need to be attacked to be able to use force. If that was the reality then I could walk into your house, stand in your way all the time and yell really loud so you couldn't get to sleep but i'm not being violent so you have to deal with it. Does that seem right

  • @BetaDanU100 You're either an idiot or a cop

  • @BetaDanU100 The students on the walkway were indeed breaking the law & I never said or implied that they weren't. Rather than make arrests or attempt to disperse the crowd, the police attacked the only people who couldn't even defend themselves. If you want a crowd to disperse, you do not incapacitate the easiest target.

  • @BetaDanU100 Furthermore, several of the students who were sprayed were NOT on the sidewalk and therefore not committing any crime. The police then had the audacity to claim that spraying the kids was an act of defense. There was nothing even remotely acceptable in how they handled this. As for your example, there is nothing in common with the case at hand. Home invasion and harrassment are significantly different from violating limitations to assembly laws on public property.

  • @falconstrife86 Pepperspray these morons and throw them in jail. fucking losers.

  • Cops who can't put the citizen's life first before their own because they are in so much fear of what could happen that they would resort to police brutality first without assessing the danger level of the situation... you need to SEEK LIFE ELSEWHERE!!!! A police badge with an oath to protect the public is not for cowards to wear!

  • @AnythingGoesJohn Well first of all it is still being taught in schools now that Hitler was a great leader but a horrible person. Second when the law or in this case a cop tell you to do something you do. For example the law says not to run a red light and most people don't people that do and get caught get to deal with the punishment and it is there fault. They decided to sit there and where told to move or they would be sprayed and they sat there.
