It's an incredible dunk for sure, but 2 main things make it less great than MJ's. One, he didn't dribble the ball on his way to the dunk, MJ did. It's much harder to do the FT dunk while dribbling properly. Second, MJ was 6'6", Ibaka is 6'10", MJ needed much more flight and athleticism for his dunk. I think for these reasons Ibaka only got a 45 rather than a 49 or 50. Still. an amazing dunk nevertheless.

First of all MJ did it with his foot behind the line the first years of competition, and second of all Ibaka's style is 0% compared to MJ's dunk. MJ's dunk went legendary not only because it was a free throw dunk, but it's because of the style and how he placed his legs and arms backwards to make it look like he's flying, and how his neck was popping to the front. That was crazy in slow mo.

In those days you were allowed to end up as far in front of the line as you wanted, as long as you started off behind the line, so he of course DID do it with a full running start.

Wilt had advantages back then, but the line is the same distance now as it was then.

To this day, few [if any] players have actually taken off "legally" behind the line and dunked.
