But yes, from 2003 they started doing bad albums. But I don't know why do you say they aren't good. I see critics appreciate them, too.

@penguinsniper18 Look up late 90's and on "nu-metal" and such bands and you'll find that Helmet has been a big influence. One example off the top of my head is Deftones. They even covered the song "Sinatra" on their B-Sides and Rarities release. I personally don't like Helmet being connected to such genres because the bands influenced by them are, for the most part, garbage, but the point still stands. Helmet's drummer, John Stanier, is in Tomahawk by the way.
