This crap is ez to play well I know Ive played it in counltess clubs better than this. These guys sucked like this years ago and never got better and ITS HIS MUSIC AND HE CANT EVEN CUT IT.

@Lear23Driver I agree with what you're saying, but playing live was never Slys thing. Remember, he WROTE it and made great records!!! I've played in many club bands that pulled off songs better than the live versions, but that doesn't make me shit. You gotta write it. I may play it better live, but I'm no Sly fucking Stone!!!!! So we can pick on this performance on many levels. It's funny. His outfit is a scam too, hiding behind that hunch and mop. What a coward. he was given the keys to something very expansive, hipped MILES to HIP, and then just feeds his baby toxic waste. Cynthia must feel very ashamed.

My take on it is --- they don't mind putting up with his erratic behavior as long as they can fill some seats. You look at all the oldies acts out there that are getting back together like Three Dog Night, KC/Sunshine, BS&T, Chic, etc.. and making good money selling out big venues. I think Family Stone wanted a piece of the notstalgia action too. Only problem is 'ol Sly hasen't been right in his mind for some time now. So they resign themselves to this. Cythia & Jerry still cook big time, tho!!

This is just terrible, the backing singers look grotesque & behave like idiots, the band seems to have rehearsed very little and since there are some many of them it's all very chaotic and confused, and Sly nowadays is just not right in the head; he's very erratic, rambling & talking nonsense. It's kinda sad, in the '60s/early '70s he was a genius, I love his records, and what he and the Family Stone stood for. Anyway, thanks for posting this

@cedrharper My sentiments exactly. Rosy was so fit and beautiful. Everyone else got fat, too. OMG, They totally lost it. What an emberassment! I would think it's a cover band if I didn't recognize Rosie. Led Zep I, Oh, Rosie, Oh yeah!.
