@shannoncox95 I don't really know the real meaning behind it but that's the beauty of this song. It can be about anything you want really. For me it reminds me of a time when I was with someone and we broke up after 3 years and eventually I found someone else and suddenly he was "low" but I was "spoken for", "if he would have stayed, you never would have taken my hand". It can mean anything you like. It sounds like it could be religous too or whatever. Only Laura can explain what it means2 her.
