Thank you for posting this wonderful recording. Emmy Destinn was truly one of the greatest of the golden age of singing. No one today comes even close! If we could actually hear her (or Caruso, Melba, Tetrazzini, Sammarco, etc.) live, we would be awestruck, and we would not settle for the current state of singing mediocrity today. The world of opera would not be in the state of financial chaos and irrelevance it finds itself in today.
