Though on all these comments saying theyre wasting food I find a bit silly. A lot of edible fruit is used as biofuel if they dont look good enough to put on a shelf.

Although I don't know whether the fruit used fell into that category before the shoot, it certainly could have been used as biofuel afterwards.

The only thing they care for here is money. Yes, it is a waste of food but the advert is funny.

Truth of the matter is the EU stockpiles food resources like grain and seed and gives farmers quotas to prevent overproduction of food and hence a drop in price of goods. Therefore while this may seem like a waste in food in the scheme of things it is relativley small.
