Some states would not allow Ron to be on the ballot because he already ran as a republican. Therefore, he would have no chance of winning. Besides, we all know it would be a waste of Ron's time. Can someone explain why Paul would think that Obama and McCain have similar of not the same foreign policy. They're obviously very different. I know that Paul believes that there are major interest groups which run everything. But after these 8 years I'm convinced that this isn't true COMPLETELY.
I don't think Obama would have gone to war in Iraq.
Someone please explain how Obama and McCain are the same on foreign policy and other issues the way Paul is suggesting.
If you can't see that Obama is in the employ of the owners of America, YOU are blind! He has reversed himself on half a dozen important promises and issues, to be in line.
really name a couple then.... most people back those kinds of statements if they have them. So they can make a the point. So what has he reversed himself on?
He voted FOR FISA ( government exoneration of telecoms for illegal wiretapping ) after saying he wouldn't; he said that Scalia and the Supreme Court didn't go far enough on capital punishment, saying that there are crimes other than murder where people should be killed; he reversed himself on taking public money; and he said that Bush didn't go far enough in giving $ to faith based groups and churches, after saying there should be separation of church and state. Some integrity!
Obama is flawed, but integrity is not a black and white issue.
The rest of the world is literally going to be laughing at us if we elect as President the man, McCain, who doesn't know that Czechoslovakia broke up, and respect is not just a matter of pride, its a matter of survival. Do a google search to see which Third Party Presidential Candidates are on your state's ballot. Barr is the only one who is not a write-in for my state. Looks like it's
Thanks for that information. I'm a Paul supporter gone over to Obama, after much thought & it does tickle me a bit to know I was right in not giving Barr credibility.
You don't need to tell me about Obama's many failings, I do know. But I also know I think McCain is so personally and intellectually deficient, I feel electing Obama is protecting the country(its not just "A LITTLE LESS DAMAGE" as RP puts it, its alot--connections&ideologies are close with these candidates, basic sanity is not)
Ron Paul cannot afford to lose credibility within the Republican party. Period.
In an ideal world, where we had a serious chance at getting impeachment to WORK, he would sign on in a second I can promise you.
But why risk tarnishing his reputation as a Republican, when it doesn't even appear that the impeachment resolutions are even close to having a majority??
You should be bitching about your democratic leaders, THEY are the ones who need to step up and impeach this Republican President.

Listen, I go to CWRU (Kucinich's undergrad) and am in the process of applying for an internship with Kucinich himself.

I agree this is an election for an Obama vote. But I can't say I know what Ron Paul was up to with the impeachment and anti-war situations. As much as most Paul supporters think they are so rational, there's alot of hero-worship of Paul, so there tends not to be a recognition of the fact that although he votes constitutionally, he does fudge a little & he's gotten nothing done for years. So perhaps the correct analysis is not that he sold-out, but just human weakness.
Paul's worst failing is in regard to impeaching Bush and Cheney, where he betrays the principles he has been espousing for his whole Congressional career. And it is all the worse because he was eager to impeach Clinton on principle and correctly argued that an impeachable offense was anything a majority of the House said it was.
In regard to the real crimes of Bush and Cheney, on the other hand, he drags his feet.
Nope--you are wrong. Paul Craig Roberts was asst secretary of the Treasury under REagan, and he is arguing to vote for Obama to destroy the Republican criminals.
Subtracting one from the duopoly will give rise to a Third and Fortuh party.
Thins about.
Paul jiveassed on impeachment. And pissed away the antiwar vote. Now he is recommending a thrid party?
He "jiveassed" because he is one of the very few agents of liberty working WITHIN the Republican party.
In the off chance that your plan is unsuccessful, and the Republican party is still heavily entrenched after this election, I would sure as hell hope we have at least one guy on the inside working for the interests of the people.
The Democrats are no better than the Republicans as far as being criminals. They voted for Iraq, Patriot Act, Miltary Commissions, and torture. Left=Right, go 3rd
This man never ceases to inspire me. But his worst fault as a politician is that he doesnt stand up on that soap box and display that adament and passionate fervor for his beliefs and such self confidence as this more often.
we need to find a way to force at least one third party candidate on to the debates. I say all the major third parties shoould be able to have a voice. way to go DR. PAUL, Ralph Nader, Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr
If you listen to NPR and you want to help promote the third parties' message, ask NPR to provide more coverage for third party candidates because apparently they think they are providing enough coverage to them. See: npr(dot)org/ombudsman/2008/07/covering_thirdparty_candidates.html
Ron Paul is a great man, I had decided to vote Obama, just to get McBush out, but I think Ron is Right! Maybe I will vote third party as usual, last time I voted for the lesser of two evils (Kerry) it didn't work anyways.
Bob Barr never showed. His campaign also put out a press release that said (in essence) that RP is a do nothing, egotistical, money grubber. Yeah, can you believe it?
I look forward to sitting back and watching the Barr campaign implode. Pass the popcorn.
If you visit Lew Rockwell and use the right sidebar to look up the post about Barr trying to win the RP support by insulting him. His national campaign director has a post up on his MySpace account. Follow the links, you should get there.
Myspace? You're kidding me right? Anyway, I Googled "Ron Paul Bob Barr" to see what I get, and there's an article "Barr asks Ron Paul to be his running mate". You tell me what's more reliable...
Ron Paul is right. It's bad enough that we only get to choose between two parties, but now that they have the same stance on the important issues of our time, we have no choice at all.
I will be voting, and it won't be for anyone with a D or an R by their name. Just say no to McBama!
Learn about Carol Quiqley and Tragedy & Hope, but be warned, he was an extremely arrogant and elitist individual and had some very perverse beliefs (and he wasn't alone).
A vote for McCain = a vote for Obama = a wasted vote! The election result is the same even if everyone votes third-party, but at least then the truth would be obvious, that the elections are rigged! Vote third-party to expose the ugly truth!
WE need a million man march and throw all the congress members out of office, we need to restore the Constitution, restore spirituality! Voting in another evil president is disgraceful, and condoning ww3!
I have the Best plan in American History and it involves RON PAUL. If he chooses not to be President so be it. But I want Him to Open the RON PAUL BANK of THE UNITED STATES Of AMERICA. Every investor in the world would deposit and invest in him. I would trust my money with him and only him. He would baffel Wall Street and make the FED cry.
RON PAUL BANK. coming to a town near you soon. A BANK for the people, The one you can TRUST>
He needs a better speechwriter and he was rambling a lot but the truth and integrity shine through. The man talks sense - are enough people listening? As for Bob Barr, fuck the idiot
go ron paul.. to bad the MSM has done such a good hatchet job in keeping him low in the poles. the average american must depend on faux news for all the truth, how laughable.
The lesser of evils is still evil and by the very nature in which candidates get elected they become corrupt-TOTAL ELECTION REFORM is needed. The process should flush out evil not promote it.
I never said they were censoring my video. I was just pointing out how the video froze. It was strange. There are documented cases of youtube & google video censoring.
Please rate this video. It is climbing the youtube charts fast. Also favorite it. Help this video get seen by millions!! The views are still stuck at 223.
In explaining why he rejected the overture, Paul -- perhaps underestimating the size of his following these days -- said: "I don't like the idea of getting 2 or 3 million people angry at me. ... I said absolutely no. It might diminish my credibility."
I am not sure because the number keeps growing. Thanks to people like Howard Stern, Tucker, Bill Maher, and many others, Ron Paul is finally starting to become known. Unfortunately, since many Americans are hypnotized by our circus media, many people don't even know of Ron Paul. And if the do, they have heard BS like "Ron Paul is a racist"

I can't believe I maxed my and my wifes donations on this fool, there is too much at stake to pull a Perot. This is not Clinton we are talking about Obama the super socialist is the absolute worst case senario for anyone who believes in individual freedoms and small government. Now he's friendly with McKinney and other super nanny state leftists, I never expected that.
Primarily because of my opinions regarding the 2nd amendment, the constitution as a whole, and smaller government. I'm not willing to accept the exponential growth in government that will come with socialized medicine. I do not under any circumstances wish to see what kind of SC justices Obama will pick to "defend" the constitution. One choice is worlds less evil and the other is as bad as it gets, this is not the election for a protest vote. I'll vote conservative 3rd party in other venues but.
I meet Paul today, I reminded him that every time congress places an embargo on any one , it ALLWAYS results in open combat. He agreed with that recall of history. Now congress has placed embargos on our rights, economy, and the press. Will some one call their congress and remind them so we can avoid open combat in this country. Keep the peace steve
You know writing in Ron Paul won't count, but voting for a 3rd party will. It's our only chance to save this country. We all love Ron Paul and wished he could have been our next President, but oh well. Lets all vote that 3rd party!!! Views: 223
The 2 party Commie/Fascist system reminds me of the Old Communist "election system". (yes they also had "elections"....and NOTHING EVER CHANGED because they were FAKE).
I love seeing Ron Paul bringing Americans together to defend this nation from the Ubber Elite who have been doing EVERYTHING they can for the last 100 years to DESTROY THIS NATIONS FREEDOM!
...America would be served BETTER by ANY of those 3rd party guys than EITHER Mc-Same or O-Bomb-a
I missed this part on CNN this morning, thank you so much. They need to join forces. I wish he had some of this passion during the primaries, he is getting better with time.
Good point, well made..get people that are non-partisan to monitor the debates, problem is determining who does or dosen't have an agenda to represent each party. On your issue of voting for the lesser of 2 evils, I believe that will never change that has always been a problem in voting in America and unfortunately with those 2 dominant parties as the only two that seem to represent the United States who ever win, I don't believe that will likely change anytime soon.
There always have been other choices. The Rep/Dem elites have been doing everything they could over the years to make people think there aren't. But that won't last for much longer. Vote Paul/Ventura '12!

Didn't Obama call Pakistan and Iran a big threat?
There are guys behind the scenes who are really in charge of your country.
As long as the present president plays their game, everything is OK.
Otherwise, he dies. Happened a lot in the past, you know.
The presidential election is only to give you the feeling your influence matters.
But it really doesn't, as long as you play it by their rules.
That is, believing everything you see, and hear in the media.

Could you please tell me your complot theory of RP brainwashing his supporters?
What kind of complot is behind the constitution?
My "complot theory" (It isn's a theory anymore) behind Obama/McCain is simple.
It really doesn't who of them two gets elected.
The Neocons (who are pulling the strings for real), have already made up their plan.
They want the power to decide over life and death of all of us.

Without impeachment, as Paul Craig Roberts argues, the only accountability is to destroy the Republican Party.
The only way to destroy the Republican Party is to vote for Obama.
Not because you are pro-Obama but as a negative vote to destory the Republican Party of the war criminals Bush and Cheney.
Vote negative, vote Obama.
mopsius 3 years ago
meh, that's not going to do much good in my opinion.
A vote for Obama is a vote for socialism, edging towards communism.
Why not vote for someone like Barr who atleast somewhat represents the interests of the American people?
RosstaPharian 3 years ago
Nope--you are wrong. Paul Craig Roberts was asst secretary of the Treasury under REagan, and he is arguing to vote for Obama to destroy the Republican criminals.
Subtracting one from the duopoly will give rise to a Third and Fortuh party.
Thins about.
Paul jiveassed on impeachment. And pissed away the antiwar vote. Now he is recommending a thrid party?
mopsius 3 years ago
He "jiveassed" because he is one of the very few agents of liberty working WITHIN the Republican party.
In the off chance that your plan is unsuccessful, and the Republican party is still heavily entrenched after this election, I would sure as hell hope we have at least one guy on the inside working for the interests of the people.
The Democrats are no better than the Republicans as far as being criminals. They voted for Iraq, Patriot Act, Miltary Commissions, and torture. Left=Right, go 3rd
RosstaPharian 3 years ago
The Republican Party is a party of constitutional criminals and war criminals.
The REpublican Party must be held accountable and destroyed.
The Democrats are not much better but they have not had power for eight years.
You better start thinking.
Paul is a political incompetent.

It'd be great if Kucinich worked up the courage to do the same. He said "Wake up America!", well I say "Wake up Kucinich!"
jalvarezvUtube 3 years ago
Yes! that is exactly 100% correct.
we need to find a way to force at least one third party candidate on to the debates. I say all the major third parties shoould be able to have a voice. way to go DR. PAUL, Ralph Nader, Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr
voteDRNO 3 years ago 2
If you listen to NPR and you want to help promote the third parties' message, ask NPR to provide more coverage for third party candidates because apparently they think they are providing enough coverage to them. See: npr(dot)org/ombudsman/2008/07/covering_thirdparty_candidates.html
jalvarezvUtube 3 years ago
Ron Paul is a great man, I had decided to vote Obama, just to get McBush out, but I think Ron is Right! Maybe I will vote third party as usual, last time I voted for the lesser of two evils (Kerry) it didn't work anyways.

Bob Barr never showed. His campaign also put out a press release that said (in essence) that RP is a do nothing, egotistical, money grubber. Yeah, can you believe it?
I look forward to sitting back and watching the Barr campaign implode. Pass the popcorn.
jokertim777 3 years ago
His campaign really said it? Can you show me the resource?
gobbledygookie 3 years ago
gobbledygookie,
If you visit Lew Rockwell and use the right sidebar to look up the post about Barr trying to win the RP support by insulting him. His national campaign director has a post up on his MySpace account. Follow the links, you should get there.
jokertim777 3 years ago
Myspace? You're kidding me right? Anyway, I Googled "Ron Paul Bob Barr" to see what I get, and there's an article "Barr asks Ron Paul to be his running mate". You tell me what's more reliable...
gobbledygookie 3 years ago
Ron Paul is right. It's bad enough that we only get to choose between two parties, but now that they have the same stance on the important issues of our time, we have no choice at all.
I will be voting, and it won't be for anyone with a D or an R by their name. Just say no to McBama!
Learn about Carol Quiqley and Tragedy & Hope, but be warned, he was an extremely arrogant and elitist individual and had some very perverse beliefs (and he wasn't alone).
jokertim777 3 years ago
A vote for McCain = a vote for Obama = a wasted vote! The election result is the same even if everyone votes third-party, but at least then the truth would be obvious, that the elections are rigged! Vote third-party to expose the ugly truth!

Every investor in the world would deposit and invest in him. I would trust my money with him and only him. He would baffel Wall Street and make the FED cry.

Write in Ron Paul!
The Los Angeles Times printed [9/10/2008]:
In explaining why he rejected the overture, Paul -- perhaps underestimating the size of his following these days -- said: "I don't like the idea of getting 2 or 3 million people angry at me. ... I said absolutely no. It might diminish my credibility."
So how many followers does RP actually have?!
usuryfree1776 3 years ago

TOL1488 3 years ago
So did you forget why you maxed out your donations or are you just lying!Screw Obama screw McCain and screw the left right paradigm!
bubbazametti 3 years ago 5
Primarily because of my opinions regarding the 2nd amendment, the constitution as a whole, and smaller government. I'm not willing to accept the exponential growth in government that will come with socialized medicine. I do not under any circumstances wish to see what kind of SC justices Obama will pick to "defend" the constitution. One choice is worlds less evil and the other is as bad as it gets, this is not the election for a protest vote. I'll vote conservative 3rd party in other venues but.
TOL1488 3 years ago
RP has always been friendly with those he disagrees with, it's not foolish. He decided on four main principles and they are important ones.
He's been friends with Kucinich for years, despite having vehement disagreements with him and he never ONCE voted for any nanny-state BS.

Keep the peace steve

....GREAT MOVE by Doctor Paul!!!
