Great video, very nice. I saw the blue unit only 3 days ago, as they are now performing in Fresno C.A., then head up to L.A. Quite a long train, as I found out it was 1,594 ft long this time. Quick question, so they store both trains at the same time up there, or do they have separte storige times for red and blue units. Thanks. I haven't gotton my vid up yet.
Each show runs for two years. At the end of the two years, the show comes to Tampa for a six week break for re-tooling. They do this on alternate years.
if the train was in Fresno, then, it headed DOWN to L.A. not UP! I was born in Fresno and I still know my directions! Except,if,you meant going up and over the grapevine, but it's still south of Fresno which means down not up!
Ringling's Winter Quarters are at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. You won't see it on Google maps as RBBB is a tennant of the Fairgrounds authority. Plus, they're only there from Thanks giving to New Years. Ringling has an office on US301 near the fairgrounds, but it's only administrative.
That's all I shot. I'm not much on cab rides as they make (I think) uninteresting video. I know I'm in the minority on this as the one all-cab ride show I have on here has 19 thousand hits. I don't get it, though.
Danny you are 100 percent right. When I ride Amtrak and Tri-Rail I only take about 4-5 minutes of video as not to ruin my ride. The cabride was very nicely done and all cabrides are only supposed to give an initial feeling of what it looks like in that particular locomotive.
Just a sidenote, but there are about 15-20 RB&BBC cars parked right now on a siding between streets Drennan and Pineloch in Orlando. They have been there for at least 3 weeks, and I'm not sure of anything but warehouses there. Anyone know?
The cars between Drennan and Pineloch right now are coach cars- housing for all cast and crew. I actually live in one of them as a performer- a clown with Ringling.
Quick Question, were those catches of the train in the 90's on the Clearwater Subdivision?

Great video! My son (2 year old train addict) really enjoyed "riding" in the locomotive. Thanks!
