  • GREAT!!!! NO WORDS!!!

  • @ash444Ley She's so shrill and annoying, ew. But certainly a good and entertaining actress. Well, just my opinion, obviously.

  • @ash444Ley you don't know what are you talkin about :D

  • I love her speaking part, but don't like singing part.....

  • @Geo789C What's wrong with you people? You sound like soccer fans or something. Whoever said this is a contest? And if you think this "sucks," you don't have enough of an idea of the genre to speak about it at all.

  • Just as good as Kristin Chenoweth.

  • I love how Diana's speaking voice is low and yet she can reach incredible height.

  • don't know whats better, her voice, or her wearing that dress!

  • OH SHI--

  • Thanks so much for uploading this rendition. I've always been impressed by the drama Damrau can convey simply through her voice; I'd kill to see her perform this live.

  • I believe the highest note of this aria is a Eb6. when you watched the entire Operette the narrator says "Candide spantaneously ran in hearing an Eb he new as well as his own".

  • 5:15 which note is that?

  • @tutubi49 F6.

  • @operalover9001 That woman is crazy... is there any role that she sang 'come scritto' and not in a more difficult (and impressive) version of hers?! In Frühlingsstimmen when she hit the A6, I think my heart skipped a beat.

And just listen to the deliciously 'crispy' coloratura passages!!

Actually this is totally not my favorite rendition of hers of this aria, live she seems to be even better. At the Tucker Gala she was beyond amazing.

  • @Transoxiana94 she has sung a G# in Fruhlingsstimmen, not A.

  • @operalover9001 Or High F .. It's better.

  • THE BEST!

  • singing this song, no one can reach these heights, not just vocally but for the realism she puts in the performance.I am sure she gives her entire being in every thing she plays. That`s why I think she is not just an opera singer, but a huge Artist

  • Wow!!! Absolutely amazing! Thanks for posting!!
