Ah yes, I miss the days when I lived in Portland and attended PSU. You are certainly on point about the people/weather/bikes/communities/trees etc, I miss it everyday but I live in Seattle (where I grew up) and love it here also so no regrets. :)
Curious, why did you end up not going/living/attending school there?
LOL @ no razors and deodorant. Thats because of all the hippies. You should have come to Seattle. Its like Portland, but we use razors and deodorant (still rainy though). We have a large gay population as well as large Buddhist and atheist populations.
I was born and raised here in Portland and I absolutely love it...everyone here is super welcoming and just makes you feel good. The LGBTQ community is highly supported and we're the top rated most bike-friendly city in the US, which is great for bikers. I love everything about it here and also how diverse it is! And even though its rainy here, in the midst of summer it is gorgeous and warm... you should come back sometime in late July, early August:)
It was my first time in Portland last May. I had so much fun because of the friendly people and a large lesbian community. I discovered a pocket size caffe called Caffe Spella & a cute barista gal works there. I went there everyday during my stay there.
I absolutely enjoy the OR coastline so beautiful. Also it's a green state and no taxes. I'm going again for my birthday in August & anxious to go again.
@msJumbie Portland: 81% white. Thats very high for a major city. And it's not that its mostly white people, its that it's mostly the same TYPE of white person (see: person in the video.) The constant mish mash of ethnicities, vibes, cultures, scenes, politlics, religions and style is something I will always miss about Los Angeles.
Hey its so nice to hear how much people like Portland!! I recently moved out of the big city and to the country. This just makes me miss it even more :( but I also enjoy my quaint little town too. I being in Portland always brings good experiences, it always has for me!
Well, I told you you could date my daughter in another segment comment, (although she's a bit young for you I think,) but now I have to say we live in Portland...and it really is Heaven!
C'mon up! I've lived here for 18 years and loved every minute of it. It's beautiful, accepting, diverse, and politically aware. Glad you enjoyed your visit!
hey, i'm from san diego. i moved to portland a year ago. it would be perfect for you out here especially with your bicycle lifestyle. i'm a biker too AND it definitely is heaven. a few friends of mine are either moving out here or at least visiting. it's great!
love the hat. i also love that when i watched this video under related videos it came up with tegan and sara... which is pretty much amazing. so yes. portland sounds like a nice dream world.
ps. i know you mentioned it before in one of your other vids, but what bike do you have again? the one where you can kinda balance and stop without touching the ground... yeah that one? i'm thinking of bike "upgrading" and that sounds like a super sweet one.
hope you get a chance to go to portland next year!!
I live near portland and it is probably the best city. i love it i am there so often.
it does rain but it is really beautiful someties, not gonna lie other times ot just plain sucks. but portland is a great place to live. i am sure you will love it.
I love Portland. I have many serious dreams about living there one day. I am glad to hear that you had a great time. Hopefully you and your bike will get to go out there sometime.
Dude you're super awesome. =D Anyway, Portland State University sounds like a good school. If you do go there, have lots of fun. Take care and peace out.
yay i always enjoy watching your vids. portland is actually one of the places ive recently been considering living. basically were moving anywhere that will hire a lesbian as a nanny. ( live in) i was considering cali too, but anywhere but NC. there not to keen on the gay thing ha
you're sexy - portland doesn't deserve you.... just kidding, it's alright. it will be interesting to see where you end up moving to. good luck with your selection process... however it is you will go about that....
I'm 21. live in idaho right now. My parents are trying to buy a business on the oregon coast, so when i graduate college i was thinking portland would be perfect for me. so i wont be too far from my parents. plus i heard the gay community is awesome there, and i love the rain. I cant wait to move there!
i heard somewhere that Portland has the highest number of bikes on the road out of every city in the US. not sure the stats on that... but i believe it.
once again... sexual ambiguity is beautiful and your videos make me happy. :)
i'm told that portland is great and that it's considered hippie heaven. all i know is that their are tons of listings for graphic designers there. i have to move someday.

Portland is amazing.
I know exactly what you mean about the people there.
I live in Hillsboro about an hour away from Portland but I go down there as much as possible with my friends.
It's just a great place, and it has the type of people I would like to surround myself with in College.
