@NarusakuXxX1 In the Final Mix version (released only in Japan), you can fight the Organization members that died during Chain of Memories as optional bosses. They are much stronger and have a different fighting style than they did in CoM. Here they (Marluxia, Larxene, Vexen, Zexion, and Lexaeus) are fought as 'phantoms' or absent silhouettes.

@keybladess Marluxia's scythe doesn't do damage. Each hit is for the sole purpose of knocking down Sora's doom counter by 1. The only attacks that will actually do damage is the dark circles he summons, the vines and the pink/purple pillars.

Strange that I never thought to look up a Marluxia boss battle until now, seeing as I've never played this game (can't read a lick of Japanese, lol!) or CoM. This was quite interesting.

My favorite parts were the reaction commands that allowed Sora to use Marluxia's scythe on him. It has got to be the ultimate diss to have your enemy use your own weapon on you, then throw it back in your face like, "Yeah, you can't touch me with this shit!" XD!! I like Marly, but Sora gets points here for that

They're AS's or Absent Silhouettes. They're phantom versions of the the org members who were killed in kingdom hearts com and re: com. So in short, yes, they are ghosts.

If you're wondering why his/her life bar is so low, is because he/she is on critical mode. It's a mode like proud, beginner etc where in you are only allowed to have a maximum life bar of what he/she has on the vid

Pay attention. When the fight begins, notice that there is the number 33 above Sora's head. This is a hit count. Your HP does not go down in this fight (or certain other fights, such as particular Coliseum battles). Instead, the hit count decreases by one for each hit you take, and when it reaches zero, that is the game over. If you look at the part you mentioned, you'll see the number drop as Sora is taking damage. The author didn't cheat in this video whatsoever.

basically, there will be these little portal, floating thingies. And you could see what weapon they use. You could optionally fight them.

Actually, this is an "Absent Silhouette" battle. They are basically the shadows of the people Sora already beat at Castle Oblivion.

The little floating orb will have the symbol of a certain organization member. For Marluxia, its a scythe. Pacey8444 also came across an orb with a tomahawk in it. That weapon is a representation of Lexaeus, the organization 13 member defeated by Riku in castle oblivion back in chain of memories.

Not a timer. It's a counter (the number is based on your level). Marluxia's Scythe attacks will make the counter go down, once the counter reaches 0 you instantly die. Some of Marluxia's moves do damage but they don't effect the counter.
