Jahvid 8est is Crazy and fast as hell. On the lions i hope he is even half of what 8arry sanders was. Com8ine that with a Championship life wud 8 great for the lions.
C johnson, 8est, Suh, stafford. That's (almost) a pro 8owl squad
I can't say I'm a big Nate Longshore fan, but that was one hell of a home game! I remember bringing a flask of whiskey (which I do regularly at all the Giants games) and having a damn good time! Watching this again makes me believe the Detroit Lions will win a few more games this season. GO BEARS and GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you show the same play twice....even up to 4 times of course this video is going to be long as fuck. Maybe do a regular highlight film with it only played once and this vid would be 3 minutes long...horrible highlighs CAL
nice video. i never saw that effort from cal this year. against oregon, usc and oregon they didnt seem like they were in the moment. this cal team looks much more fierce, physical and aggressive.
Cal has just as many national championships in football as Miami does, 5. Cal athletics have won a total of 77 National Championships in various team sports.
And their kids actually have to go to class. Tedford graduates over 80% of his athletes. Whats the "U's" grad rate?
Miami has a nice history of "pay for play", drugs, violence and various other problems with their criminals... er I mean student athletes. How about that fight with FIU? Looked more like a prison yard brawl lol
@HurricaneWins I asked what their football teams grad rate is. Its no where CLOSE to 95%. Years ago Sports Illustrated ran a story saying your program needed to be shut down it was so out of hand! lol
@southpawo5 lol yea, but you answered yourself YEARS AGO. 2001 was 9 years ago, but guess what SO WAS THE WORLD TRADE CENTER ATTACK, and that doesnt seem like awhile ago, But it was. And actually the FOOTBALL team GSR improved to 97% in 2006- 93% in 2008- 89% in 2009- and 91% in 2010 fall. So I mean cant we get a FUCKING BREAK lol. Not to mention our medical program ranks among the top 5 in the entired NCAA. Cmon bro, Holding on to THUG U is like holding on to tie dye shirts. LET IT GO
@HurricaneWins That improved graduation rate was very nice... but wait, didn't you just fire the man behind those improvements in Randy Shannon??? He seemed like a stand up guy who knew it was important to win both on the field and in the classroom. The University of Miami is clearly sending a very different message. And that FIU brawl was just a few years ago in 2006. Don't act like this teams been filled with saints in recent years.
@southpawo5 Thats cool. If all you have to hang on is the 2006 footbrawl then thats cool. Theres no way i can bullshit out of that. It looked bad on our university. Both side's were punished, and if thats all you have to dwell on about the University of Miami football players Morale and Character than cool. Thats your opionon. The truth is things have changed, I would love for it to be like it was where CAL was bad football players and UM was thugs. But its not the 80's It's a New Era
@HurricaneWins 2006 wasn't that long ago. A few posts ago you were telling me the thugs and brawls were done over 10 years ago. I just thought that was a blatant example saying otherwise. But you kindof ignored the Randy Shannon part. Wasn't he a HUGE part of that turn around? He seems like a really good guy. What type of message is the university sending by firing a coach who wanted players to win both in the classroom and on the field?
@southpawo5 I personally didnt like that Miami fired him, But I support it cuase the Reason behind the firing was that he didint win on the field. He defenitely won off the field tho, But with our talent we felt that something had to give. Since he is the top of the totem pole he goes first. Although he wanted to win in the classroom and on the field, he just didnt. But in this world now and days its What Have You Done For Me Lately, and 7-6 record + Losing 3 straight bowl games didnt do enough.
@southpawo5 By the way, 3 of your NC was in the years 1921-1922-1923 where there were only 5 conference games. And dont get me wrong I would never take any credit away from CAL, Unlike the bears love to do. You see us hurricanes fans cant remember that far back, and if not mistaken again, Thats when Cal refused to let BLACK STUDENT into their college, So if you must take credit for those championships you must take credit for the bad also. 1937 Was the last NC appearance? Correct me if im wrong
@Canes5Rings How many national titles does CAL have? Bears5Rings!! You're from the U of Miami and not Cal, so I'm not surprised that you have never heard of research.
the U will definatley not beat cal this season if they meet again. we are still stacked and by the time bowl season comes, all our true freshman starters will have evolved. summer gavin has had some big shoes to fill considering alex mack graduated and we have one of the elite backs in the ncaa.
the first game was a tight game Cal won by one touchdown, u right a rematch would be close again u guys still have jahvid best and we still have jacory, but we have a better offense now way better so maybe we'd win
Hate to tell you this, but the Jahvid Best that ran over Miami for over 9 yards a carry, 186 yards and 2 TDs, is even better this year. He put on 10 lbs of muscle in the offseason and is breaking more tackles. Cal had more returning starters come back for this season than Miami. Outside of Follett, just about everyone making plays on this video is back for this season.
And Riley has been a BIG upgrade over Nate at QB. He has the best QB rating in the conference and Cal is scoring 49 ppg.
That last touchdown pass was incredible really a great finishing touch for Nate who really put it all out there and succeeded against amazing adversity.
carson5usc ....if you are talking about stats in the pac 10 then i agree....but if i look at specifically RB---id put lynch over best.....id put best over bush actually
cal fans ur team played great but we could have won if our offensive line sucked. our line is below average in talent am not jus sayin dat cuz we lost 2 u guys but our line has been gettin pushed around all season and for the past 3 years. all of our older players suck 2 only our freshmens dis year made great plays so
As a cane fan, Cal played great the whole game, but I still don't understand why Riley wasn't the starting QB. Hopefully a rematch game in the next few years, and good luck Cal fans next year.
Thanks ronenlish1 for the awesome video! Great tribute to Nate... He made it count. He has a lot of character after getting hurt last year in Oregon, getting boo'ed, and living through a life under the quarterback microscope. We shouldn't scapegoat anyone for last year...it's all about the team!
Excellent video! Great way to pay tribute to Nate at the end of the video even though many Cal fans (myself included) couldn't bear to watch when he played last year.
wasnt this game like a home game for Cal? Playing in San Francisco?
