i know excacty what you mean i was raw 100% for almost two years and i would occasionaly try cooked and it wuold always leaves you sedated ..if you look in the mirror you can tell .. ya just look sedated ,drunk, cooked .. its crazy .. cooked food is like crack..wow..you are awesome!!
I eat some cooked but if it's just simple ,not processed in any way and nothing added ,like cooked quinoa ,rolled oats or buckwheat without salt, sugar ,oil don't feel too much difference
I have noticed that if the food is less processed, that I have less of a response. I am now focused on lots of greens and if I eat cooked food it is steamed & cooked without oil.
added oils just makes energy level drop but if i eat avocados that not ,that's all ,don't know why is that don't think it's about the heat ,prob. more about the higher metabolic response
Hi, I`m a 26-year old guy from Estonia, been on raw from Nov07, I go weight training, am 6 foot 2 and 90 kgs. Feeling awesome on raw. And I wanted to say that - all the points you brought up during this Video were just my experience too! Last time I had some cooked Buckwheat, which I actually liked a lot before, taste like empty of nutrients when I ate it - and quess what - the next day I had a hip pain, the kind I had not had for a long long time, out of nowhere.
Thank you! This may sound gross, but I only wash my hair once a week. Not with anything special, just stuff from th ehealth food store, the natural stuff (as natural as shampoo can be I guess). When I ate cooked food my scalp became oily and had an off smell to it, but the more raw I am the longer it stays clean. I actually have curly hair! I'll ahve to post a video with it! :)
Rice will totally feed the bacteria in your armpits, I'm not sure why but they love those carbs floating around. Good job on your experiment...you can go high-raw if you wanted to, it would just take a little while to adjust.
I feel like high raw isn't good enough. Maybe if I am eating TONS of raw veggies with a SMALL portion of cooked it won't be so bad. Maybe if I only eat steamed or baked veggies versus the starches/grains. I don't know. Maybe I'll experiment with that another time. I love what I am learning!
I have tried to get my Mom go to raw as well as a few friends but I think they are scared they will never be able to eat something cooked if they start raw. I think it's worth it though especially if you switch to raw and see a huge difference in health issues, which for me, I have!
I thought this was very interesting! My camera is broken so I haven't been able to vlog but I've been keeping a blog about my raw food challange and I did the same thing a little over a week after I started. I went to see my Mom on her Birthday and had a piece of cake. I went from being happy, light, energetic and just feeling great to feeling that "Thanksgiving" type full, tired, and sick.
I also have fibromyalgia and can tell a HUGE difference in my joints when I eat raw vs. something that
i really experienced the same "knock-out" - it was awful... the contrast is kind of amazing, though ^^
consequence: keep doing the raw thing - and feel great - you deserve it ;)
i noticed that for me it is not working to do mainly raw and little cooked. that simply does not work. ^^ maybe because my body knows, how all raw feels like ;)
Oh, I always have to throw a little test in every now & then to remind myself why the heck I eat raw. :) We all know it works, but sometimes the contrast is so powerful! Good luck with your raw food challenge. Rock out at your reunion!
Of course you CAN eat cooked food. Any time you want to feel bad!! Good for you for trying the experiment. Now--listen to your body. It will tell you what it wants. Good lick. Ginny
Well, I did feel like my teeth felt dirty, my skin smelled bad, my energy sucked, just all sorts of little things that made a big difference! I definitely feel on the ball when I am raw!
very honest, excellent clarity, good stuff

Thanks for the video, the drunk feeling you felt may be because cooking turns sugars in living foods into sucrose... That's just an guesstimate

I definitely am wondering if I can eat a liitle cooked food and it doesn't look like it, unless I want to feel yucky or tired.

I failed to mention that my joints aches like I had arthritis too after eating cooked. So weird!
Inspire2Act 3 years ago
Woah, that is quite weird honestly... It's insane how not eating cooked food can take so much effect on you. And some other questions i have.
-Do you feel healthier or something?
-How 'bout anything other than that "drunk" feeling and joint aches? but thats quite strange. Maybe others experienced that as well. hmm...
