Accidents do exist, but raising a kid in a bubble won't do 'em any good. Accidents happen regardless of the environment, and if the kid learns early that stuff like that hurts, he's less likely to do more dangerous stuff when he is an adolescent. Also, my sister was accidentally flung around by my parents several times (and fell down the stairs once), and she is still alive at 24 with no debilitating anythings. Also, the kid is having a blast, and doesn't really reach a dangerous velocity.
Worse than the teen case? So playing with a happy and delighted baby by sending him flying one foot onto a landing area (despite whatever risk), where he clearly isn't hurt... is worse than sending a baby flying several feet across the room onto hard ground?

Reasons why this video should not be taken down:
1): The child is older than the one in the arrest video, and more mature in ways
2): The child is landing on a safe and comfortable (seeming) zone
3): The baby has obviously done this before, and the parents seem very responsible, if he would start crying I'm sure they would not do it anymore

I'm shocked people think this is bad parenting. This is the best kind of parenting! Having safe fun! We loved watching it, and it's given us idea for when we get our bean bags! My son says, "this looks like fun" (he also wants your spiderman foam thingy...)

Accidents do exist, but raising a kid in a bubble won't do 'em any good. Accidents happen regardless of the environment, and if the kid learns early that stuff like that hurts, he's less likely to do more dangerous stuff when he is an adolescent. Also, my sister was accidentally flung around by my parents several times (and fell down the stairs once), and she is still alive at 24 with no debilitating anythings. Also, the kid is having a blast, and doesn't really reach a dangerous velocity.

I don't think it's smart but at least the parents are being cautious and doing it on the carpet with cushions and padding. It's reckless but nowhere near as bad as what that 16 year old did making the baby smack into a hard floor head first. Plus they're doing this for the baby's enjoyment not out of a desire to be cruel borne out of a lack of morals and proper parenting.
