  • I found this while searching for "Moog Voyager" videos but I'm blown away by the Novation keyboard sounds! I tried looking for more info on that particular keyboard but couldn't find much (found lots on a Supernova II). How old is it and is it expensive? Thnx!

  • Beautiful lead patch, you really make this instrument sing!

  • If any of u have not listened to Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd (the album, not the track of that name) you really should!

    This is lovely btw

  • @seanrhenderson i did tht it does fit in

  • does the old school sound different than the voyager?

  • how would one learn to play a minimoog, i bought one, and dont know how to play it, haha!! please helpp!!!

  • @seanrhenderson thats awesome!

  • How did you get the video quality to look like it was from the 80's?? That is awesome.

  • @seanrhenderson That is weird as hell but awesome as *[profane]*

  • @seanrhenderson Wow how did you found about that, it's amazing ! and scary :) never heard about this guy before .

  • @alphacode909 i tried it - and it has worked!

A Song to Sing When I'm Lonely - its very funny how these two become one =)

music is connectin people.... but yet each one of the songs are played in the same mode without the cadential dominant akkord, so there are no disturbing notes in it. after all you played approximately in the same tempo and its seems to perfectly fit.

what did i just say? it perfectly fits! nice sound, well played and a compliment to seanrhenderson =)

  • I was anticipating an electric drum to burst out in the background. ba da dum , dum TISH

  • Quite gnarly in a Rick Wright manner of speaking. One specific criticism, though. The pitch bend at 1:50-1:57 should have been as follows:

Start to the bottom of the pitch bend-same. Bottom of pitch bend back to center-about 5 seconds longer with most of the distance travelled in the last 2 seconds. I was dying for that delayed gratification, but then you just sort of hopped back to center at about 1:57.

    Nice setup. Nice talent.

  • @kerkenat Exactly. But he is a good player. It's the tone that gets me....not as warm and human as the model D. It just makes me sad. Why did they do that to us? MOOG...please start over!

  • very well done mate

    D...................:)

  • i used a hold pedal ,simple as that :)

  • Awesome. Just one question, how did you latch the pad sound on the nova ? I've got one but don't know how you did that to hold the chord !!!!

  • Nice...

  • Just Great!

  • This video looks retro but also sounds retro. You have talent by the bucket load.

    Please upload more.

  • Do you do requests?

I'd like to hear you play the soundtrack to 'Blade Runner'.

  • Shine On You Crazy Diamond!

  • @khyropia very similar! and reminds of some Tangerine Dream stuff..

  • a great piece of music.

  • hello have to be added an effect at the exit of the moog thank you

  • This tranquil, improvisational sort of playing just to relax and enjoy it, is often my favorite. I like the first sync sound and the final square patch the best. And of course, the Voyager is always an inspiration. Sounds great!

  • it's just relaxing and ambient-like. I like it. Thank you for uploading

  • Very moving, beautifully played and one of the best Moog videos, being lovely music rather than just noises. (You should send this to moogmusic, they might put you on their website!) If you had a CD, I'd buy one.

  • Totally agree.

  • check out moog solo on lunar sea by camel

  • Very Beautiful!

  • Hay algo de Pink Floyd, algo de Rick Wright.......choreado claro!

  • sounds like a mix of vangelis (blade runner soundtrac) and shine on/richard wright overall! fantastic, i wish i had those synths and could make it sound like that....

  • totally agree. as a big fan of Pink Floyd and 70's and 80's sci-fi films this sound is perfect. I think John Carpenter used Moogs in his film soundtracks.

  • He used the prophet 5 mostly

  • very good : big sound :))

  • how old is the moog ? fantastic sound, always wanted one.

    where are you based.

  • the one he is using looks like a vintage one (I could be mistaken). Vintage minimoogs are usually from the 70s and extremely expensive. Moog has a newer version called the minimoog voyager.

  • isn't that the "Voyager Old School?" they still make those. check the moog site.

  • I'm not sure if theres much of an aesthetic difference between the two, actually...

  • There is, and I can tell that's the new "Old School" model. Great synth... Presets are for the weak!

  • alpha\

sounds really great, nice one, keep it up.

    C

  • muito lindo! fantástico!

  • absoutely vangelis bladerunner. reminds me of the track "blade runner blues".

awesome work man. feel like im a lonely person sitting in an dark apartment in the used future....

  • LoL, made me feel like Danny Glover in a new lethal weapon sequel after Mel Gibson is killed..

  • Outstanding!!! very Vangelis inspired! close my eyes and dream of Bladerunner

  • Shine on you crazy diamond???part VI???

    that was cool

  • I've grown up with Pro-Ones and MonoPoly's as my staple analog diet.....so for me....I'll be very keen to see how the OS compares in terms of warmth, fatness, presence etc etc. Maybe some of you here would be interested to hear my thoughts once I've done a carefull comparison between some old classics and the Voyager? From what I've heard so far....the OS will surpass these synths by some margin.

Check out Roger O'Donells Myspace page. He uses the Voyager exclusively...and it sounds AMAZING

  • Hello, I've posted this video on switchedonsynthesizer.blogspot . com

  • Does the OS sound fatter than Voyager?

  • I think they must sound pretty much the same. Even with the standard voyager it is fully analog with digital control. The digital aspect of the voyager does not interfere with the signal path. I think the Old School must benefit from the lack of digital control in terms of being super silky smooth. I've just bought an OS and waiting for delivery (its taking 4everrrrr!!)....so perhaps I might be able to comment on more detail in the coming months....

  • briliant! i like this moog sound so much!

  • Nova 2x

  • is that a Novation ?

  • I've jst bought an Old School! Your two vids are brilliant. Can you make more please! 5 Stars *****

  • uuu i wish, give me another year and i will buy one again... i don't have it anymore unfortunately :(
