it's a very good cover but you need to change the tone on the solo part and you should be on just the neck pickup for the verses.

On the track, how did they make that swelling sound that goes "oeoeoeoe." It repeats it through the song. It does it at about 0:46 where Bono says "anywhere!!!!"

No. He plays the verse a little wrong. Unless the Edge played it wrong (which im assuming he didnt) then maybe but its not fake. Besides you can hear his distortion during the chorus. No offense, its a little off but it obviously shows that hes not faking it.

That sound is a digitech whammy (which i dont own anymore). The whammy is in the Tonelabs effect loop which i turned on for that sound.

Thanks. No i wasnt faking. For those that want to create this backing track themselves you can upload Beautiful day into a program that allows you to pan the volume. This whole album has Edge's guitar panned either left or right. Just pan it to one side eliminating Edge's guitar. Voila, now you have a backing track with no guitar.

yes you can have seperate reverb .. delay...pedals amp ( cabs) and moduöation all seperate.... i have this sneaky feeling maybe Pod Xt3 and pod xt live etc and Amplitube soft ware are also great givers of different sounds for home use.. also AXE effects ( which are more expensive are great for U2 sounds etc )

Well i think i can help, I dont know what he uses. But my guess would be he has a Multi Pedal (like a boss gt-8) and plugs it into using USB than just records using a simple recording program

OR he has a board like a Digi 002 (thats what i have) and just records it all in Pro Tools of something. Youd just plug your cable (that youd ususally plug into your amp) into your mixer. It only sounds good if you have decent effects though (such as a preamp)

sorry for the delay. I made the track by panning the volume on the track. either right or left i cant remember. On the album they have Edge's guitars on one side and vocals, bass and drums on the other. If you pan the volume to one side with a mixer or software...you have an instant backing track to play along with. enjoy.
