CONTRA. one of my favorites. Rest assured that i do not like or respect any forced "DRM" such as steam.
Every PC game ships with some form of it these days. And i haven't brought myself to quit gaming yet. I believe retail versions should not have steam to give people the option to choose whether they want a steam console or not. Yet damn near every game forces it on you. Its simply a means for companies to bombard you with adverts to keep you spending money. Not prevent piracy as claimed...
Yes you're right, these DRM do not prevent piracy it supposed to.
Whenever I am getting a new game, I'm searching for cracks for it. I use them, so that I don't need to use any additional resource hog like steam or any sort of it. I found that game performs better when steam is off. Plus I don't like to insert discs all the time.
I'm thinking that I have the rights to not use their DRM bloatware.
@EnhancedCognition I am playing on a PC now. I am from the times of Dandy and Megadrive, remember these two dinosaurs?:D So I played on a lot of consoles before PC:-)
@EnhancedCognition a powerful graphics card you got:) yes, it was Sega or Mega Drive, and Dandy was that 8-bit dinosaur NES with first super shooters CONTRA and first arcades like Galaxian or Battle City, you sure must know this, if you knew Sega. These were the times of my youth, the very first games I played ^_^ I will glad to play with you my Friend (although I hate steam, you know >_>)

@sedjetra Mega drive... old Sega console right? Not sure about Dandy.
PC gamer myself with 2 6950's in crossfire and unlocked shaders... we'll have to get together on steam or origin and game someday.
