More than fantastic. I am a composer and am writing an english horn sonata for school and one of the things that draws me into the English Horn is the dark, yet VERY melodic timbre it has. I enjoy the worl of Mr. Giuliani and I hope to have my English horn Sonata posted by Christmas.
if your from england get wigins professinal ones...they las aaaaages unless you drop or break them your self, i have cor anglais reed from about two years ago that still sound amazing.
if your in america errrm i dont really know if anyone supplys KAY G the chinese reeds? there good
Talking about the side playing...if you are not an E.H. player you can't understand this. The right hand have a very bad position on this instrument,so when you play in right/straight position the right hand have cramps....
Really nice piece. I'll be looking for the score. He holds his horn like he would a sax...and the swaying? maybe he had to pee real bad? At least he has a good tone!
love it.

He is using throat vibrato, maybe that's why he has such bad control with it.

Throat vibrato isn't hard to control.. I use throat vibrato, and I can control my vibrato alot better using it (I can do diaphragm too)

Too choppy vibrato, his embrochure shouldn't be to the side... otherwise it was beautiful.
WyattOboe 4 years ago
I don' think his embrouchere was to the side. It almost looks like how a bassoonist uses their reed and bocal.
