  • that was a hella of a game...charlie garner was awesome!

  • A couple of things that Marshall Faulk and Charlie Garner have in common. Both had the same skill sets, you could build your offense around them, and they are from the same NFL Draft class back in 1994.

  • If there was one word to describe Charlie Garner it would be this word: Explosive. Charlie Garner was an explosive - big play type of running back. Often overlook is how good of a pass catcher Charlie Garner was. Garner was that Marshall Faulk type clone where you can build your offense around.

  • Charlie Garner was so underated back then on the raiders.... whatever happened to him? He could teach Dareen Mcfadden some things!

  • Damn what a vicious horse coller tackle. I mean it looks like he was trying to hurt Charlie with that one. They weren't illeagal back then I think, but they are illegal for a reason. They all know how much it can kill somebody

  • @FishDontBlinq The Guy who made that tackle was Chad Scott.

  • Great play !!!!!!!

  • I'm a Raider fan for LIFE and even I will admit that Davis is a MORON

  • @letsgo395 Yup. I look forward to the day where Al will finally step down. Perhaps then, they'll have better odds of getting their 4th Lombardi.

  • @DontRepYourCity nice win last night eh ??

  • @DontRepYourCity Well you got your wish so to speak.

  • @azbacnikorange I wanted Davis to let someone else be the owner, but I didn't want the man to die.

  • this guy played Football at my current Highschool :D

  • damn that was some straight up barry sanders shit. wow

  • BERRY SANDERSESS

  • Garner was a beast underrated HB

  • Damn. I miss this dude!

  • Raiders have had some real good backs over the years from Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, Kaufman, Garner ( I remember the 9ers gave us Garner), Weatly had moments, and now we have Run DMC and Bush.

    We NEED an O-line!

  • um napoleon kaufman retired in 2000 because he wanted to be a Christian Prime Minster which he succeeded in becoming.

  • This was the best Raider team I remember in my lifetime. Gannon at QB, Brown Rice and even Porter at wide outs. Garner speedy slippery tailback. Charles Woodson on pass defense.

  • Ahhh, the good ol' days... WTF happend?

  • @blacksunday78 rich gannon retired thats what

  • I hate how guys like this just dissapear one day but then you have Rex Grossman who is still on somebody's roster? fuck the NFL

  • i hated this bastard...he shitted on my Jets every year...i could remember going 2 bed in high school after our playoffs loss wishing he was never born!

    great player (n underrated player)

  • thats some madden shit right there haha

  • @BIGZ31 lol. for real, though! it's hard to even do moves like that on madden!

  • This game took place in 2002, not 01. I think it was the Sunday night game for week 2.

  • hopefully mcfadden can be our next jackson or garner

  • man, I wish he was still playing for the Raiders.

  • THE CLOSEST TO BARRY...

  • sick ass jukes my nigga

  • One of my all time favorite players. He was a poor mans Marshall Faulk. Some of the sickest moves I've ever seen, and he hit the hole like a lightning bolt.

  • dude was sik

  • did you see those moves? are you fucking kidding me?

  • Thats my Bestest friends daddy right derr (:

  • The X factor , Charlie Garner

  • I think Al Davis destroyed Napoleon Kaufman's NFL career. Kaufman avg 5 yards per carry throughout his career & the Raiders still refused to give him the ball...if he was drafted by another team I guarantee he would be in the Hall of Fame.

  • @lilze96 Agreed.

  • @lilze96 --pls get the info correct. Since when has Al Davis been known not to pay a player 'who performs'--Napoleon got all sanctified and started telling players they shouldn't cuss--and the next thing you know he is retiring to go and save souls befor the coming of the rapture, and all that bullish. He is currently a minister in Oakland Ca. --what a waste of talent---it wasn't Al Davis--it was the jesus freaks that got a hold of him. fyi--

  • @lilze96 Apparently you don't remember what happened to napoleon kaufman's knee. There was a reason he was only in the league for 5 years.

  • @lilze96 Naps issue was staying healthy. Too often he had to come out of the game to get "hydrated". Also, unfortunately many of his long runs/kickoffs were nullified due to penalty.

  • man do i miss this days

  • This guy was like what Brian Westbrook was for the Eagles.

  • I dont understand how a guy can just stop and start like that. Amazing

  • if he wood of ran it 4 a touchdown it wood of been the best EVER!!

  • amazing run, but that would have been a touchdown if he had ran between those two defenders at 0:12 instead of bouncing outside and allowing #30 to get an angle on him.

  • @bellcurve4 my thoughts exactly

  • Al Davis is a horrible, atrocious owner, age has taken it's toll on him.

  • the good ole days........... wut the fuck happened?

  • wow what a great run i wish my raiders could return back to these glory days man

  • Garner was a great player.

  • @21Asomugha21 Charlie Garner was like Marshall Faulk from the standpoint that you could build your whole offense around in both the run and passing game because he was a very good pass catcher as well. Guys like Marshall Faulk and Charlie Garner are like a swiss army knife.

  • he wouldn't be down in two hand touch

  • I dont think there was a Horse Collar rule in 2001.. It seems like that rule was established in 2005 or 2006..

  • 08 it was an official rule

  • lol sorry he told me that he is done he does football camp and plus some ppl dont belive me that he is my uncle but he is i luv him and his sister(which is my Auants)and his mom (which is my great grandmother) so yall can hate all you want but yeah he said he is done wit football but now actually done he still loves foot ball and he teahces me football and his son charlie garner 4 which i call him C4 or baby char, lie(his son) and his daughter is name nari and niya garner they live in flordia bye

  • He shoulda made the pro bowl that yr...

  • HORSE COLLAR!

  • Personal Foul, #30 Defense, Horse Collar tackle 15 yards at the end of the run, FIRST DOWN.

  • wrong no horse collar shit in 01 , didnt make it rule til 08 season

  • ikr they never call it ne more wats the point of having that rule if they dont even call it?

  • they never called it cos it wasnt the rule back in 01 , the rule was made in book in 08 -.-

  • Wasn't this the 2002 season?

  • I miss those guys

  • those were the days

  • wow.....this dude just shook the whole damn steelers team.....

  • Charlie Garner was a real weapon

  • It was an awful start for the Steelers in 2001-02. The Patriots & Raiders killed the Steelers in the first two games. The Steelers did get to the playoffs and beat Cleveland, before losing in OT to the Titans.

  • Yeah I remember that Cleveland game all too well. If I'm not mistaken wasn't that the game where the QB(can't remember name) threw all over the Steelers and built a commanding lead...

Only for the Steelers to come back and take the lead, only for the Browns to drive down the field but ran out of time because a WR couldn't get out of bounds in time to stop the clock...

  • Kelly Holcumb was the Browns QB. He had a career game in the playoff against the Steelers. But, the defense couldn't protect a 24-7 advantage and lost a heartbreaker.

  • Omg that playoff game was when the titans kicker got roughed when he missed the game winning fg. and then he made it.

  • That would be correct. The Steelers were fortunate to make the playoffs that year, because Pittsburgh had no running game and the defense wasn't very good.

  • Garner Was the man. Also Wheatley.

  • Garner was so under-rated! I always wished the Eagles had held onto him...

  • WOW! Simply Amazing

  • Garner got horse-collared at the end of that run by Chad Scott. Of course, the horse-collar rule wasn't in place in the NFL at that time.

  • Sick n Nasty!

  • man watever happened to garner, when he left oakland and came back wit tampa he broke his leg and that was the last i saw of him

  • I missed when he was with the 49ers

  • Gannon and the crew back then

  • that was totally barry sanders like move

  • always liked charlie played hard
