I think it would be okay for dwarf hamsters, because it's all plastic I don't think they would get stuck anywhere by being so small but I don't know how well they'd be able to get to the top of the cage. I'm sure you'd be able to take it off or make some changes to it though :)
My hamster doesnt use the top bedroom he makes a bed move the tunnel around ??
