  • is this 1/10 or 1/8 scale

  • @hpibajajumper

    It's a Proboat hull...

    Proboat makes a 1/12 and a 1/8, this is the 1/12th

  • @igottalongone

thanks since i have a 1/8 hull but since i sold it i hate my self for it. so i am gonna buy a 1/12 and convert it. what setup do you have in your hydroplane. Also how did you mount the electric motor mount in there.

  • Very cool and yes I will race you for pinks with my UL-1 its stupid fast 65 +

  • @BigCatskillu

    Thanks! I'd love another UL-1!!!

    5 lap bouy race... ~~~~~~~~~***-

If you really have your UL-1 going 65mph shouldn't be more than 2 laps before it's on it's roof...

Try not to tear up my new boat when it goes over...

My Miss Bud on the other hand will run mid 60's all day long, stable as the kithchen table!

    C-Ya on the Lake...

  • LOL. thanks for your reply. I watched the video again and realized at the beginning it showed all the parts list and started shopping. I'm giong to leave it as stock and I'm sure one of my buddies will buy it this summer at the river. I really want the miss geico but I will be spending alot of money to buy it and then will still want to upgrade it. Ohh well such is the hobby life. very cool boat.

  • I just saw this video after walking back inside pissed off at my nitro engine. how much does it cost to do the conversion? what do I need to do it? if you don't mind parts list and place to get it. Thank you for your time and that boat is AWESOME!

  • @prerunnerchevy

honestly, your better selling off the proboat and use any $ you get towards a Aquacraft UL-1...

You'll have WAY more $ into making your proboat a runner..

I'm running $300 just in motor/esc in this boat. You can get a RTR UL-1 for about the same coin...

  • @mewrongway

The only way that boat was goin 52, was on the car ride over to the lake...

uuuuuhhhh, why did you want me to go look at someone else's rigger???

don't tell me about what your "gonna" do...

    put up.... or shut up......

  • @igottalongone I read my first post. I now understand your being so angry with me.

I used a poor choice of words. I hate someone flamming gas boats, I think they have there place, and i know for a fact that they can go over 70 mph! Anyway I am man enough to say that I am very sorry! I really like your videos!! You have some awsome boats!!

  • way to go idaho! thats a badass 112 u got there! quality products makes a quality smile! hey my name is dreamland s4 on OSE. i also have a 1.8 pb on its way to electric. fuk gas, you know i really don't understand why gasholes are still runin gas...like HELLOOO is anybody home??? i have the leopard 5692 1000kv i was told i should run 10s then 8s. what do u think?

  • @50N1C800M

You should be running your 1000KV Leopard on 8S, NOT 10S

37,000 rpm's is way too much for an 1/8th scale...

  • Comment removed

  • @mewrongway and what about the blazing impressive speed you get that you will NEVER (as far i know) EVER get with combustion motors. electric is the way for serious speed and not to mention SOUND! i just converted a 1/8 scale from gas to ep running on 8s2p 1000kv lep swordfish 240 hv all under 450$ hull was 100$ and it ran WAY better than that piston powerd motor. click on my name and see on my favorites. couldnt open her up all the way. small lake. im posting another at full speed. maybe 65

  • I got a friend that has this boat is it the 1/8 scale pro boat miss bud , did you use a water jacket on the motor if so where do i get one ? sorry for all the questions , would like to convert the annoying gas motor to electric , thanks

  • @mavdriver8

I just finished a couple wicked 1/8th Hydro's... Tell your friend to go to Offshore Elecetrics . com for his gear...Check out the new Leopard 5692 motors, WAY more horses than his stinky gasser! And yes, all my Boats have cooling jackets...

  • Sweet video! Sweet Boat!! she seems so stable when running full throttle , my previous boats use to whack the water rocking side to side lol , im currently converting my Budweiser to electric was Nitro but it got annoying so im chucking a 3060kv inrunner Brushless engine with a 180 amp speed controller running a 7.4v LIPO should do the trick , haha where bouts you located? be good to have a run with the boats and shoot a vid!! :D

  • @IMPL0SION

I'm in Michigan.. Yea, I love this boat. My buddies all have built UL-1's, they don't even put them in the water when I bring out my Bud boat, lol!

  • is that saltwater or will it rewin the boat. i'm going to get that boat and i live on the coast lots of saltwater!!!

  • @swift755 its not particulary good to run in salt water with electric :S i learnt from when i was younger with a ARPRO boat flipped and took in salt water completely killing my brushless engine. however if you were to run it in saltwater make sure its a calm flat day and give it a good rinse down with fresh water and flush out your water cooling after use otherwise the salt builds up and you will cook your engine with no waterflow going through.. :)

    hope that helps ya

  • I just ordered an Octura 642 prop for my Miss Elam. Did you have to do any modifications to get octura props to fit the stock prop shaft?

  • @daninja98

sorry for the delay, as you know by now, you need a bushing for the prop, 3/16 to 1/8 id...

  • That boat is awesome! I have had it with my nitro Miss Bud(too many times dying on take off, and it never went this fast, not even close). I am doing this! How does the motor mount in the hull? Do you have to put in a new driveline?

  • @yogamon

Super easy conversion, I used a supervee27 motor mount and coupler, same driveline, but I'm spinng a X447 prop : )

  • hi fast! what's speed?

i have the same motor but (1650kv ) with hydra 120

    in mono.

  • She's hangin in the mid 60's...

I've used the 1650's as well, I love'em. They do great on 4S-5S, the 1700kv needs 6S to perform well...

  • bloody hell!! FAAAAAST. I wish You'd left the music off. The howling of tortured water is all the music i wanna hear.. Nothing beats the whining of a fast rotating surface-prop.

  • Thanks...

    It does sound sweet ~~~~~~~~~~***-

  • Did you run a flex shaft or the original straight shaft? -thanks

  • I'm running the stock flex cable. This Miss Bud is one of the later flex cable hulls. Same hull as the Miss Elam/Formula. I think it was the very first Bud versions that had the driveshaft and the prop that came straight out the rear.. All the later models have a strut and lifter sponsens...

  • LOLZ i hav the motor in my align rc 450x helicopter.... but then i modofied it.... u should try getting one of their motor heat radiators to stop it overheating....

  • This is a motor from a 600 Rex, not a 450. It stays a cool 140 degrees, not even close to "overheating" and heatsinks don't work in a closed cockpit, thats why we water cool our motors...

  • true.. lol, thats wy im such a noob at boats.. im only good at heli's.... LOLZ

  • fast cool grait job!!!!!! but ya the music

  • Kill the dam music, I want to hear that boat screaming!

    That kills it right there.

  • Sorry...

    It sounds kinda like this....

    gurglegurglegurgleWaWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • I'm thinking about starting this hobby. I've been looking at a 1/12 scale 2006 U-1 Formula Hydro for about $300. Would you say thats a good buy for a beginner or should i get myself a lil cheapo to learn how to drive it.

  • I wouldn't get a Hydroplane for my first boat, they only turn to the right and the water needs to be very calm. If you want a sweet boat check out the new proboat "widowmaker" that would be a awesome first boat. Stay away from nitro, unless you like going slow....

  • that boat iz haulin azz.......how much does it cost to make something like that.....how much am i looking at?

  • about $600 for everything...

  • what temps and run times you getting

  • runs about 20 minutes, motor esc never get over 140...

  • are them brushless motors hard to fit ?

  • Took about 1/2 hour to epoxy in a aquacraft supervee27 motor mount...

  • What heli motor did you use? Thanks

  • Align 600XL 1700kv

  • what speed does that thing push ?

  • Hovering around 62-63 for the first couple passes, then drops to mid 50's for about 15 minutes of hard running, then about 5 minutes in the 40's. I'm running a 6S 3850mah 30C Thunderpower pack in this vid.

  • how much for the brushless mini cat or "bad kitty" and how fast does that go?

  • You can build a "bad kitty" for around $200-$250. It should be mid 30mph depending on your set-up...

  • I WANT THAT!!! seriously is it for sale?

  • Wow, that is a lot faster than the other Budweiser Boat. Its vids like this that encouraged me buy my Rustler VXL and am having so much fun doing speed runs. This will probobly make me get a boat eventually :) Great idea on making that electric, and keep those vids coming.

  • Thanks bro.. VXL Rustler is a great car, you'll love it! Fast/Reliable/ easy to find, inexpensive parts . Pick up a set of RPM caster blocks as well part# RPM80712 throw them in your toolbox, you'll thank me later.

    P.S.

Remeber to program your ESC when you first get the car, unless you plan on running li-po's. Every person I sell a VXL Rustler to, calls back in an hour and says "It only runs for 3-4 seconds and quits!" The car comes out of the box with the li-po cut-off turned on...

    C-Ya...

  • The "P.S."

Was for anyone considering a VXL. I know you are allready running yours...

    C-Ya on the Lake ~~~~~~~~~***-

  • nice hydro 5*

  • Thanks!

  • It's realy fast and smooth, congratulations!

I know it's a castle creations, but only 120 Amp for a X447 W/ 6S...was it hot in the end?

I can´t wait to see the vid of the saw version.

    Nice work!!!!!

  • Thanks bro. After running out a 3850 TP 6S pack the ESC is just body temp, motor hangs at 140-145. I have a sprint cat with twins of this motor and the 120's couldn't handle the amps, went with 240's instead.

    C-Ya on the Lake ~~~~~~~~~~***-

  • i run an x446/3 with only a 45 am esc and dont have any esc heat problems, nihm batteries on the other hand get so hot they start melting or just pop and smoke, fuckin nihm

  • lol! Yea, NiMh blow! Literally!

  • OK OK! NoNo Nitro, I'm going electric and Brushless & Lipos. Guess I'll give my nitro stuff to my 4 yr. old so he can learn safe and slowly. LOL Anyway, congrats and keep it on the water, not the air. Great job!

  • lol! Thanks bro!

  • looks a little slow. Could you get it to go faster? haha. Just kidding dude. Great run and wicked fast.

    5 Stars ~ Eric

  • lol, thanks Eric : )

Actually, the "Miss Elam" I'm building right now is gonna be even faster!

  • shit dude thats fast alot faster than it wus before

  • Thanks bro...

    yea, she frickin moves!!!

I'm building a "Miss Elam" right now, SAW style... No turn fin, stricly a drag boat, gonna be even quicker : )

    C_ya on the Lake ~~~~~~~~~***-

    Ron

  • while ur biulding the miss elam drag might wanan put 2 trx vxl brushless motors in there

  • Car motors don't make good boat motors, the kv is too high. The vxl motors would work ok with a gear reduction but I run direct drives.
