I am a Canadian and me ma is Irish but born in Canada, but her parents are pure irish Cork and armagh no one cares to speak irish and I told me ma that she should have kept up her irish so she could pass it to me but she said its a dead language and why bother.......... I cursed at her and said thankyou for being so though ful, that leaves me all alone in a family that dont care but i care and one day i will speak fluent irish and show them all
Why, I don't see Eithne Patricia Ní Bhraonáin there, just her older sister. What's up...is this after she left the group. BTW, one of my favorite Clannad songs.
I used to go up there as a kid on sundays with my family and relatives in Tallaght and we would play out side, drink red lemonade and listen to the trad. I was back in the Emb last year where a Chinese restaurant had been set up. The bar is still open, but the glory is well gone. There was a nightclub there in the 80's called Safari Nights!!! But the place has potential. It would be great to reopen the place as a trad venue.
The embankment held loads of proper trad sessions years ago, luke kelly, the dubliners. and the owner even told art garfunkel to fuck off away from the door one night. around that tallaght area was nothing but trees back then.
Love this song! Too bad it is not better quality. I like the early Clanned before they turned to New Age. Anymore videos of this concert? Maire is hot!
Good to see, thank you for posting this. Nice to see Pol with them in those days. Was great to see him make an appearance at Glasgow gig earlier this year. Lovely song.
Nice clip...did they do more than one show at the Embankment? One show was televised, and I recorded the sound from all but the first song of that, yet I've found 2 songs on YouTube that purport to be from the Embankment, though neither song is on my recording. Did I remember wrong or was there more than one show?

Smutne, kiedy znów clannad zagra dla nas? Wydaje się być to nie osiągalne. Jak ja żałuję, że nie byłem na ich ostatnim występie w 2007 roku :(

Le titre de ce superbe morceau est "Eirigh Is Cuir Ort Do Chuid Eadaigh Coiriu" .
Kantoxygen 2 years ago
It's the 6th track from the 1976 album called Dúlamán. The title is:
Eirigh Is Cuir Ort Do Chuid Eadaigh Coiriu
(Arise and Dress Yourself)
I have got all their albums. Real treasures!
