Fantastic! I remember this like it was yesterday!

They were having fun, it was Ian's (Gillan) 42nd birthday! OMG now I am 42!

I was there too in 1993 at their last gig, it was obvious they had a serious problem, Ritchie was clearly very angry at Ian, disliked him and was showing it in all possible ways, so it's really nice to see they could have fun too! Those days nobody had earplugs, I think my ears kept ringing for 2-3 days after the show, I was 5-6 meters from the front of the stage, cool!

One of my favourite song and guitar solo of all time. Since Ritchie departure DP has lost those amazing riffs that are timeless. Ritchie playing has that British European flare that you'll never get from Steve Morse who's is all speed technique, he sounds like a cowboy on steroid and on stage and it doesn't give me shivers down my spine like when I ear the main man RITCHIE BLACKMORE.

Since you mention, both solos in KOYBD studio version are simply among the greatest ever recorded. the 1st one is a blend of shredding and feeling; the 2dn... well, the 2dn is probably one of the most beautiful magical and spine chilling guitar moments of all time...
