  • when you mute the volume this video actually looks very funny... silly even...

  • the best performer

  • yeah, not that great.

  • If Extreme never made it they would have been a great Queen tribute band!

  • extreme had the best harmonies ever and what a tribute for queen and freddie. even after all these years.

  • They not only are excellent musicians they knew how to interact with the audience. RIP Freddie and Lady Diana.

  • Let's face it. G'n'R, Extreme & Metallica were the dickheads of the show. The rest was just... the rest.

  • I think that was really good tribute, but i Think that when one of the biggest stars in rock-music has slept away it's not suitable to perform "Another One bites the dust".

  • the best medley!!!

  • I thought highly of their apperance but I think on refelction GNR stole the show, and I too was at the show!

  • these guys really suck!

  • @mrlynnwood01 You don't really think so. You just wanted a reply. Well, here you go!

  • Fucking awesome!!!!!!!!

  • exactly, when freddie died.. rock died !!

  • NUNOOOO^^ watch the tribute on the laser disc when i was in school and really love this part. im falling in love..

  • It's official - 20 years later & I am still in love with Nuno Bettencourt.

  • the only band in the concert that have the queen vibe

  • muy bueno, le puso todo el tipo, dio el 100 % aunque la voz de Freddie es inigualable.

    Lo hizo bien el tipo

  • 3 Bieber fans ....

  • Hmm quel gros tribute to Queen de la part d'Extreme !

  • ang gwapo mo talaga Nuno! in every angle u are one great hottiee and sexy Guitarist! i miss u sorely!!!

  • Best cove I've seen in a long while. :D

  • what did brian may mean by saying more than any other band in world they knew what queen was about?

  • @hensolo10 Extreme are highly Queen inspired, especially Gary..

  • @NunexxShadowZ oh ok i always wondered even back when i saw origianlly

i still have concert on vhs recorded from mtv but they didnt show all of it but some of the best parts for sure

  • @hensolo10 i think he meant that extreme knew more about queen than anybody and that queen was a high influence for extreme

  • @ChineseTOP thnx i see now it always had me curious since i had seen this concert origianlly

  • they sang more beautifuly than I think

  • Saw this when it happened! Absolutely awesome!!!!

  • beautiful but its ot Freddie i am sorry

  • ellos podrian haber hecho el espectáculo completo !!!!!

  • Gary, Baby you can climb in my bed anytime doll!!!!!

  • @indyjones68 that makes me think Harrison Ford is a bender

  • en encanta... esta primera parte mis recuerdos desde los 12 años ... y me sigue gustando...!!!!

  • 0:13 freedie still alive lol!

  • @superlentes LOL!

  • They are real musicians! Definitely have been so underestimated... Just love them so much!

  • I love Extreme doing this for Freddie Mercury & every one else involved!!! A True Classic

  • ... and then he went and f***cked up Van Halen.

  • They did a great job!

  • @MrRizardon It's Mustapha from the "Jazz" Album

  • With due respect to the other bands in that tribute concert, in my opinion EXTREME did the best performance and they truly rocked this concert. 19 years after watching it on t.v., I still watch it over and over again. Keep rockin'!!

  • Simply wonderful!!!

  • @ameboy92 - LOL!!! Jesus? It was a phase.

  • I watched it LIVE. They stole show.

  • @CrociatoAzzurro Yes indeed. We were tuned in to MTV, having a few beers and a smoke. Felt bad for the bands that came on after these guys because they OWNED it. Blew us all away how good these guys were. Nuno does look like a manager at a Radio Shack there though...

  • Unforgetable !!! Freddie, we miss you !!!

  • Can't believe this was almost 20 years ago

  • 4:49 YEAH.. YAAAA the camera man did a nice job!

  • 0:14 WTF i tough that he is freddie even i know he's alreaddy die , but his music will never die

  • one person is fuckin' retarded

  • best THEY REALY KNOW WHAT QUEEN IS!!!!

  • now this is a tribute.well done lads

  • Vocal harmony on Higest Level!!! RESPECT Guys!!

  • One of my favorite bands covering another one of my favorite bands!!

  • Extreme is the only band at that show that could've pulled of a Queen medley.

  • Extreme kicks ass!

  • Wearing a shirt and tie ironically before it was considered cool, and can play the guitar like a fucking PRO.

  • I've always been an Extreme fan, but this is the first time I've seen this. My respect for them just grew exponentially. What a fantastic tribute medley! Brian was indeed right, I could see Queen themselves doing an arrangement just like this. Pardon the pun, but it would take "More than words" to express my appreciation for what they've done in the memory of one of rock's greatest and most missed icons!

  • Gary cherome was the best at the concert easily!!!

  • Was there ever a CD or DVD made of this concert?

  • Comment removed

  • ohh, look there is the guitarist of Rihaana,, xD

  • The best concert tribute queen that I seen until this moment!!! They made a pout-porri various successes and even began with Mustapha!! Cool!!

  • In every concert with multiple stars, there is always one band that steals the show. Queen did themselves at Live Aid. Extreme stole the show here and produced the finest performance of the entire concert. Brian May got it right when he said that Extreme reallt understood what Queen was all about!!

  • Comment removed

  • A band that was super talented that just couldn't produce the huge hits needed to be as popular a many bands. Still they have done pretty well for themselves and the exposure of this performance didn't hurt.

  • Marvelous vocals and back vocals, great rythm, godlike guitarist... Extreme should have been the greatest rock band of the 90's, 00's. I hope the 2010 years will be successful for them. They deserve success. I mean, more than Justin Bieber, Rihanna, etc. Yes I know about Nuno when he plays for her. Shitty music business. I hope he'll produce the greatest Extreme album for 2012 !

  • EXTREME FUCKING RULES!

  • Got to give credit to the guys in Extreme for knowing how to use Pat and Nuno's voices to extend Gary's vocal range to sorta come close to Freddie...

  • un bastardo al q no le gusto el video

  • That, my boy, is a rock concert. Even without the instrument based skill theatrics. Just brilliant songs written by a legendary band, played by an amazing band!

  • Yeah, this was the best performance of the night!

  • Why havent anyone told me about extreme? wtf! :/

  • couldn't get over how good Extreme were they fukin owned it

  • @kaizer316 I recorded this on VHS back in '92 lol. Watching it back then it seemed like Extreme got the biggest ovation (Other than Queen, obviously). And watching it all these years later, I still think had the performance of the night.

  • @Supermonkey22 queens sister band. . rock after freddie .

  • justin bieber dislike this video

  • @brifkius

    hahahahah

    its true

  • very good..............

  • I wish this band didnt break up they could have been hall of famers. they nailed this

  • Great Perfomance

  • NICE choice of medley: Mustapha - Bohemian Rhapsody - Keep Yourself Alive - I Want To Break Free - Fat Bottomed Girls - Bicycle Race - Another One Bites The Dust - We Will Rock You - Stone Cold Crazy

  • @PoffyTheCucumber Radio Gaga was the finale of this set.

  • The best performance and tribute to Freddy Ever! .Gary Cherone's stage presence and charisma kicks ass! His voice quality and energy is so much like Freddy or even better. Truly one of the best vocalist of all time.

Nuno just slays on the guitar. Pat and the Paul plays with conviction. Freddy would be very happy watching this. I hope They would do this again. Extreme rules!

  • whats the first song please?

  • @KOBEvisceratoR Mustapha, maybe?

  • @rsl1253 sorry i mean second song :/

  • GRANDISSIMI EXTREME.... NUNO FAI SPAVENTO!!!!

  • Anybody knows what kind of bass is being used?? Its awesome and also sounds great!!

  • Gary has even more energy and vitality than Fredie used to have before!

  • @RapedSnowwhite NO WAY!

  • l love you queen

  • i watched this over and over again when i was a kid - like 300 times and glad i have just found it again, Will probably watch it as many times now. Love u Freddie

  • These guys did a fantastic job with the queen cover songs. Gary is an excellent front man he had that crowd in his grasps. Both guitar players and the drummer kicked ass as well.

  • la voz de cherone me recuerda un poco la de paul stanley

  • is cherone a homo?

    good performance though.

  • not bad,but freddie is the best

  • Extreme and George Michael were the best that day. No any other band or singer were good as them. I remember that day so well, still have this on VHS.

Queen will always be in my heart. Freddie, miss you so much! You are the best!

  • ESTA VA PA MI HERMANO DOMINGO RIVERA OREZZOLI......BUEN SEGUIDOR DE QUENN, COMO YO.

  • I remember watching this live and I was waiting for my favorite band (at that time, not now) Def Leppard. But this band kicked everyone's ass that day! Best performance by miles.

  • Well done Extreme......

  • 'TY NunoCosta for this treat. Extreme did a great job on the songs the harmonies are very tight and well constructed. Freddie would have been proud of their delivery of their medly."

  • In my opinion, Extreme were the best performance at this Queen tribute concert. They have got to be one of, if not the most, underrated bands ever. Nunos riffs are amazing. Simply hipnotizing.

    EXTREME!!!!!!!!

  • @PRIMAX1967 i totally agree nino, gary, paul & pat were by far the best of all the performers at the freddie tribute

  • how IN THE WORLD can anybody say extreme is not a good band hearing the harmonies from i want to break free... earth is full of ignorant people...

  • Extreme doing Queen songs. Now THAT is a tribute show. Not a coffin being wheeled onto the stage. That was so creepy.

  • I still can't imagine how could this guy sing 'more than words' when he kills love of my life. Or is it just with the monitor settings?

  • @clapton79 The vocals are way too loud. It's probably more the video than anything.

  • @Rhonvoncoos fresse zu!!!!

  • @rooob159 -.- you´re obviously 12 years old and you´ve never heared Queen in Original! Shut up stupid Scum!

  • @Rhonvoncoos halt deine Fresse man ich bin 16 und glaub mir ich hab genug Erfahrung

und hab auch schon genug von queen gehört

  • @robrob159

16 is sie....süüüüß...da hat man ja immer schon massig erfahrung....und vor allem so viel von Queen mitbekommen!..mal eben rechnen...dann biste 94 geboren....Wann is Freddy gestorben?91? Oh ja stimmt...du hast natürlich recht...du schlau ich hohl!

    .......NICHT!

  • Nuno is the best! He really rocks...and he is very handsome...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • This concert was not a Queen tribute....it was a Freddie Mercury tribute!

  • nuno kills it, i love him

  • the guitar man of the Extreme is a really realy great!!

  • flappospammo

I'm sure you cuold do it better.

And yes, u have to be a musician to see clear and you have to admit the talent even if you dont like them.

    Extreme is boring......

Stay happy in your little world, dude :)

  • Yeah, they really looked like they sucked here...moron. Sounds like you have some personal issues with the band.

VH3 sucked because everything van halen put out the last decade has sucked. Cherone's a shit ton better front man than haggar.

Hate it when morons try and lump extreme into a category with bands like poison and winger...they've got a ton of talent, but maybe it takes a musician to see it i guess

  • @flappospammo i guess that was directed at me? my post was merely about the band as performers and only NUNO as a talented guitarist...never said cherone could sing, just that he's a hell of a frontman. I play drums and piano, and you're right flappo, it's not a big fucking deal. Thanks for confirming THAT.

  • @jazz2fast Amen.

  • @jazz2fast "bands like poison and winger" winger had reb beach and rod morgenstein .reb was amazing and although not a match for nuno rod was more than a match for any one extreme ever had on the sticks.and poison had kotzen and he is on par with nuno even if i prefer nuno .may be i have mishunderstood you ? ... i know kotzen didn't really belong to poison lol.

  • @MUDSHARK111 agree with you about Ritchie Kotzen, he is just great, I love his songs like Remember, Something Good, You can't save me and many more, but Nuno Bettencourt is truly great at this concert and an extremely good guitarplayer

  • @MUDSHARK111 Nononononononono, Extreme had at one time the one and only Mike Mangini on drums, he holds the world speed record for most beats per minute, I think he's probably a little better than Rod.

  • @MUDSHARK111 : You should hear KFigg sometime. He's a MONSTER on drums. An absolute monster. Great addition to Extreme and he fits them perfectly.

  • @flappospammo

    Boa Junge

Nur weil du keine ahnung von musik hast brauchst du hier keine kommentare abgeben

  • That was awesome! Great cover done by the Extreme!

  • what is the title of the song that he sings at the bigining, before bohemian rhapsody???

  • The name of the song is Mustapha

  • Freddie Mercury esta en el segundo 15 enserio es igualito

  • aparece tambien en We are the champions.. es el!!

  • best performance that night!

  • this tribute made me cry :-(

  • A damn shame is that Extreme's set is NOT on the DVD

  • this is fantastic, pity it's not on the DVD

  • Natural Queen cover band !

    Amazing....

  • They stole the show. What a performance. They are now doing a small get together with a new album and tour. We need to support musicians like these. Keep Rocking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I regret never flying to london in 1992 to see this show and be part of this great music history....

  • easy concorde !!!

  • @Giovani22 Jealous jealous jealous!

  • @Giovani22 me too but... there is a problem... i still was'nt born at that time :D haha

  • Haha, how nice, Freddie himself attended the concert too, to be seen at 0:15

  • @graafslis ahahahahah really looks like him

  • @graafslis

    He died in 91.....

    this consert was in 92

  • @91fazal

    He was joking..........

  • @graafslis Hahaha.

  • @graafslis -- LOL

  • All you Queen n Extreme fans should check out Extreme's newest cd. Its called "Saudades de Rock" and its amazing!!!!

  • and all non Queen n Extreme fans should check it out as well, cause it fucking ROCKS!!!!

  • Bicycle race is ja grauenvoll

  • the tribute medley ever.. extreme rules

  • Extreme has always been underrated

  • @ECOOL76 Proficient musicians, they just lacked some more billboard hits.

  • i agree, LadyDi4476 .

  • Extreme were the BEST part of this tribute concert!! That medley was the most awesome moment. I've seen it more times than I can count. They weren't there to promote themselves but to pay tribute to the brilliant Freddie. I saw this concert live on MTV in April '92, I still wish I could have been there. Long Live Freddie.

  • I think your comment is very successful, look at that little tribute was of immense value, I would say something crazy idea Queen + Gary Cherone ...

  • I love you for saying that.

Exactly what I've thought ever since I saw it live.

  • Wonderful three part harmony singing on the second verse of "I want to break free"

  • By far the best tribute ever!!!!!!

  • Extreme always has rocks, still rocks, and will continue to rock. I don't think a lot of people truly realized how great of a band Extreme was (and still is).. Plus, they understand Queen so well, which is why they were able to do what they did at this concert. Rock on dudes!!

And I LOVE the Freddy look--alike!! XD

  • NUNO!!!!!!! Memories... watching this tape so many times!!

  • There is no better compliment to Fred than having his FANS praise and pay tribute to him. That is what is happening here. GO EXTREME YOU RULE!

  • 4.00 -5.00 brilliant

  • Yeah, is the best part!

  • It's is fucking good!

  • 0:14!!! Freddie's twin!!! lol

  • i don´t like this men...

but yes like me all people...

    how much adrenaline, no?

  • definitely one of the bands of that era with top harmonies

  • i wore out my vcr tape watching this so many times

  • Fantastic

  • OMG great job !

    O.o

  • absolutely great!!! i´m a musician too and I can say that this gig by Extreme is awesome, refreshing versions, excelent voices, heavy arrangements, well prepared megamix set list, etc...
