Why do people always diss sunfires saying they are a peice of shit? Im not going to race with my sunfire or put a whole bunch of after market gear on it... but sunfires are great cars. Cheap and fun to drive. I barely have to put any gas in it and it breaks down like every 5 years... its at 290,000km and going strong. All i did to my sunfire was put a sick sound system in it. " if you want to go fast buy a v8" quote of a person that knows nothing of car these days. i have 456 hp and 498 ft/lb on a stock block srt4. seems pretty quick to me. and guess what i only spent 2500 to get it that way. i have 4 bangers, 6's , v8s, and a 5.0 v10. to build up any of the others to get there would be alot more.... other then the v10, but that's a different monster alltogether.

the 98' Sunfire GT was the fastest Sunfire made. I just sold my 97, im hoping to buy a 1998 or a 1999 that has been maintained well. 2002-05s = junk. fuck the ecoteck, its all about the 2.4s. they're fun and sporty.

i agree. Plus, sunfires have a lot of potential for a low price. Any idiot can go and mod a civic, but it takes someone with balls to mod a sunfire. The gts look decent stock, and i mean, the 2.4L in the gt has 150hp stock. That beats most japanese cars that you see modded stock.

meh! its the DVP.. you can tell cause its more north and more north in toronto = more bush. I've seen that guy going around Scarborough with that sunfire.. I have a sunfire too myself.. a black 2 door.. not a bad little car :) I was gonna mod it up and all.. but I came to the conclusion all this car need's for it too look good in my opinion is a nice well professionally lowered installation and rims and your set :) Its a good car definetly gets more looks then honda's and acura's...

I saw no race. The Stang could get passed because of the Jetta in front of it otherwise it would have left the Sunfire in the dust.If it was the 401 you now can get a $10,000 fine and a liecence suspension and they impound your car or if your 50 kms over they crush your car. I love that.
