The C70 was resting on a glass surface. The reduced friction allowed it to displace a distance reducing the damage to the side. The same test should be conducted on normal tarmac surface.

The car's engine/super lightweight components, suspension, tires ect is what make it worth a fortune. Mostly the engine though, The roll cage is just metal. It only raises the price of a car slightly(a few thousand if that) and that's when you buy it at market rate. If it were done on an assembly line it would be even cheaper,
