becuase he is not afraid to do silly things. Every politician seems so stiff and robotic. They don't seem like normal everyday people. Basically it looks like a great big act in front of the camera. That is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. Me being a young black female in the UK, I have seen this gesture being used all the time, even using it myself. It is basically a meeting gesture, replacing the handshake. It's also known as 'firms'.

MSNBC took this clip from an opening "header" from FOX NEWS, which is only an announcement of the subjects at hand. For example, "...UFO sighting in Las Vegas, hundreds of onlookers are terrified that it may be the end of the world..." intro to story. IT doesn't mean that FOX news is reporting, "The end of the world!!". Its an opening of the story at hand. MSNBC very well knows this, and blatantly uses this as an attack on a competing news station that is dominating MSNBC, by the way.

What are you talking about? You're the one that mentioned Bill Ayers. What does he have to do with the fist bump? I didn't even allude to a connection. Check Obama's background. You'll see that he has a friendship with Ayers. It was Ayers who hired him for a program that Ayers worked for. (not a terrorist organization, BTW). Did you know that Bill Ayers is a Distiniguished Professor at the University of Illinois? Wow! the Feds let a 'terrorist' roam around in public and teach at a top tier college. Even in the '70s' Bill Ayers was little more than a student radical. That was the 'terrorist' angle the McCain campaign and Fox news tried to peddle. Of course, it blew up in their faces.

Ayers had previously described his reaction to being cleared of all charges due to a technicality this way: "Guilty as hell, free as a bird America is a great country." On Sep 11, 2001 by David Horowitz. He didn't plant the bombs he was just their leader and told them to do it. He got off because of illegal wire tapping.

Listened to Ayers' interview on NPR last fall where he said the above quote was taken out of context. Their bombs were never intended to hurt or kill people. And they didn't. Funny how the military uses the same argument when they kill innocent women and children and are still called heroes. And they actually know that their missiles will DEFINITELY have collateral damage. Ayers was a strawman the desperate Repubs used to scare voters. Fox news was doing their dirty work for them. Didn't work.
