  • That was truly a beautiful tribute. That song says it all for me. Thank you for that.

  • You're very welcome :)

  • My friend who read his biography told me that he was known for being "gifted" in the male department, if you know what I mean ;) Aparently a lot of women chased after HIM in the hopes of confirming this fact. Lupe Velez was quite lucky!!

  • yeah im sure he had a long slong

  • Gary Cooper had one of the first Jaguar XK120 roadsters. He bought it right after Clark Gable bought his. Does anyone know what became of it?

  • yeah dean martin bought it

  • dean martin bought his car

  • dean martin bought his car

  • Great! I really appreciate ths information. Now I have to contact some of Dean Martin's family to see if anyone knows what became of it. Actually, I think I know who has the XK120, but he doesn't have any documentation. Cooper had louvers cut into the hood of his car for better cooling, a very rare white steering wheel, and he installed a radio with an antenna in the left fender. The car I believe is Cooper's car does fit this description, and the present owner is having it restored.

  • Did you ever ind this car amigo?

  • thanks for posting this; it is a wonderful video.

  • Beautiful...he was soo handsome...and..what a great actor!!:)

  • PUTTIN ON THE RITZ!

  • Great job on this, Dawson. I didn't see any pics from Meet John Doe, with Walter Brennan & Barbara Stanwyck. Must be a lot of work to dig up pics, tho. What a dreamboat Gary Cooper was! Thanks for the tribute...

  • Oh, I've dug up my share of Gary photos -- it's hardly any trouble, though, 'cause he's worth it. But you're absolutely right! I haven't any John Doe photos. I hadn't really paid any attention as to where they came from because it was just a tribute to his life (youngest to oldest photos).

All the same I'm glad you enjoyed it!

If you want to see more photos of him, I have a website called "Levitch and Crocetti". You can find the link in my youtube profile :)
