Muse is one of those bands I've always wanted to go and see. I've seen that stage during the daytime. The area behind it isn't actually that big but the stage does. It's £20 to get in for the day if you're an adult but for that you get a free yearly pass! I have uploaded a video of the view from right at the top of the largest dome. If you're interested watch?v=uDci1pzMZS4
No kidding, Wembley was AMAZING! and... DVD ON THE 18th FEB!! =D
I couldn't make the Eden gig, tickets sold out beofre i'd heard about it, which is a smahe cuz i live across the road!! Still i could hear it, which is a start =)
i was there. i know matt could have played a better,or more faithfull-to-original solo. was still a good gig. Thing is...muse have my soul. Everything about muse-showbiz to origin was heartfelt perfection.i think muse are merging commercial.thats my worst nightmare! come on mat you know you are writing for a plastic audience, now. to satisfy you're label. you are getting so commercial, you are almost U2! Remember-who-you -were
i agree with you there a bit, i do believe that they are becoming more commercial, god lets hope they dont end up like u2. But come on they dont have programs or owt at atheir shows yet so they aint that bad.
I don't think they'll ever get commercial though, it's just not something Matt would do. They're newest album definitely incorporated some more commerical sounds (SMBH and Starlight, basically) but the lyrics are still as strange/apocalyptic/politicial/conspiratorial/heartfelt (hoodoo reduced me to tears) as ever. It's a bit of a change, but not much, I guess the next record will show whether or not they have taken the commercial route. And absolution was very emotional at times as well.
fair comment. have you heard the early live versions of koc/assassin/glorious? raw and gritty and... long. listening to them brought home how much their style has changed for BHAR the album. these songs should in my opinion, have been on the album.muse are modest, accomplished musicians and deserve recognition and fortune, i dont think they need to change their style or have their sound altered or watered down. hope the next album will be back on form, and yes absolution is a cracking album.
Yes, the early versions were ace. I imagine the real difference between this album and their other 3 brilliant albums is the production put into it. They seemed compelled to perfect everything, when it could have been left in a more raw format. Although they shine live now more than ever. Muse are great musicians, and I think whatever they release in the future will still be fantastic, they haven't disappointed me yet. Although I'd rather listen to OOS over BHAR, but thats personal preference.

It wasn't his best solo, but it didn't suck by any measure. I think that's why people give the thumbs down for negative comments.
