It's funny, I'm a white guy and I have a couple of asian friends, one egyptian and one indian. They both use the term "paki" to describe actual pakistanis, and they do it in a derogatory way.. Inidians in particular seem to have a dislike for pakistanis..... First time I heard them say paki, I was like lols

In other countries you can use the word freely, because there's no racist connotations.

Usually what you tend to find is the only people who cry about not being allowed to say paki are the racists in the first place.

People from Pakistan are not making any race, therefore "Paki" is NOT a racist term. It cannot be, it has NOTHING to do with any race. It would be similar to calling anyone from Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovakia or Romania a 'Serb' because from someone unfamiliar with them may think the countries are all the same.

Bit confusing, but Oriental is now apparently a derogatory term. Hard to keep up sometimes with the PC brigade. But "Paki" is, and always was, an offensive term for anyone from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc.

@LondonPride25 actually english is my first language, but i've always lived in czech republic so yeah....we had an indian guy in my class, we just called him indian. i went to an international, and race was never an issue...nobody cared where anyone was from and we didn't have any racial slurs. but now i guess i understand, its stupid that racism exists coz now there are such things as "offensive terms"...:(
