Matthew Sweet is under-rated, and quite possibly the Nicest Musician On The Planet. Totally talented, totally modest. I shook his hand and thanked him after a show at Starz Nightclub in Allentown, PA, and he was totally modest and, well. Sweet. :-)Thanks for posting this!!!

Heh, I saw him at Zephyrfest back in '95, and he was drunk out of his mind. Admittedly there were problems with the amps and massive feedback from the speakers, but he came out on stage and pretty much started off insulting the audience :P

Great show, though! Between him, Deadeye Dick,Jill Sobule and the rest it was a blast, even though I got a huge sunburn due to no hat and no sunscreen.

Yeah! I met him in 93 or 94. I had a 73 dodge challenger, like he had on the back of altered beast and we chatted about those cars while he signed my t shirt. really cool guy. and he had a bad cold and a fever that night and still did a really great set.
