Why DELL is not supported windows XP on this machine? Any hint how to install without crashes. We want to test this machine on a SeePoint Kiosk but drivers for printer and touchscreen not well compatible in vista.
I want to test this machine on a SeePoint Kiosk but vista drivers for printer and touchscreen not compatible, Does anyone know a link, how to install Windows XP with DELL Hybrid? It crash everytime, DELL don't support windows xp on this machine ....
would it be a good idea to use this computer for gameing? cause im thinking of getting one and i want to know if like video cards will fit or to just get a regular computer and just trick it out? please let me know send me a message or what ever...! please! i gotta know
if someone is just wanting to play world of warcraft and listen to music with this, would it be a smart idea? i mean, i would only use it for those two things, and what i want to know is can it handle running wow?
Playing world of warcraft on a studio hybrid will most likely be a frusterating experience.
since theres no room for a real graphics card, they had to use a motherboard-integrated intel graphics chip that is very very slow. Yes it can play games, but they will only run at the absolute minimum settings. I can estimate that with the least expensive model you will be able to play WoW at minimum settings at a resolution of 1280x800 at about 25 frames per second.
my other post may seem like this thing is a super slow peice of garbage- it isnt. Games may run slow, but normal computer usage will be just as fast as any desktop computer.
very mac mini esk, they have done it well i must say i have a mac mini and there are a few features on this i would love on an updated mac mini, i think i will have to get one of these to go next to my mini on my desk they would compliment each other well, there both beautiful well designed machines, apple and dell are by far my two most favorite computer manufactures
nope! this has blu ray, 2.8 ghz extreme edition x9800, 4gb max ram. mac has max 2.1ghz dual core and 2gb ram. and 4 the same price :) mac just has a better design and os and user friendliness.
Looks great.(blu-ray drive).I would use it for my home theater pc..hooked up to my samsung 52 inch, wireless keyboard..hot!! And it has hdmi..I think this will be a hit for dell..but we'll have to see what the market does..xmas is coming..
Runs Vista, thats the only problem i have with it, higher powered machines with Vista no problem but lower powered one's mite slow this down. Hope i am wrong,
looks like a projector

I like this product, its desireable for it's aesthetic. If its possible to put XP on it or linux, I would bang XBMC on there in a second.
For those who have experience, is this unit capable of playing 720 and 1080p MKV files reliably?
It is a little pricey though I do feel. Blu-ray's a tempting factor.

....so you can't open this up and add a graphics card to it???...( if not, this is total bawlz)

while capable of playing games. These units are designed to be small and energy efficient. They are not designed to be expandable.
You may look into the full size desktop XPS systems instead.
