You'd think so! Lol! But for some reason, evne thought she LOVES Argento's stuff, she still gets all squeamish when I suggest a scary movie...yet almost ALWAYS loves whatever it is and wants to see it again. :)
great update!..were do u get the time to watch all your movies!..i have 2 kids and only get to watch movies on weekend!..how many kids do you have?..and do they watch your dvds?...hope your family are well!!!..
All of the above and then some! It's really just a matter of funds, we have to be selective. Besides, we've got a pretty good selection of cult faves already, and will most definitely add to it when money permits.
There's a couple of used DVD places we sell them to in town. We don't get much for them, but it's a little extra cash (and shelf space) from time to time.
Actually at each break you can see digital interference. Do you have a virus? Scan and see. I hope you get this issue resolved. Love watching your videos.
No, it's just a minor glitch with my XviD encoding. It's either have a minor glitch at some of the breaks and get true 720p, or pre-render in 480i and upconvert. The lesser of two evils. If I find a way around it, I'll fix it.
But it's not a virus (I scan on a regular basis and have realtime scanning for all incoming and outgoing files and processes).
I am surprised to see such a Scifi "Elitist" XD to be a fan of Sex and the City. Wait she likes Nightmare on Elm Street? But not Jason? Isn't Nightmare like way more out there o.o. The Fantastic Flesh does seem interesting though. I bet you will be seeing the new movie as I keep seeing EVERYONE asking XD.
Hey Zaranyzerak, are you interested in getting the 2004 Friday the 13th boxset AND / OR getting the 3 upcoming new 2009 editions for the first three Friday the 13th films? Opinions on Friday the 13th (2009 version)?
It's looking like DVD will be around for a while yet, Blu isn't going to dominate over DVD as quickly as DVD dominated over VHS (simply due to higher market penetration for DVD). The latest prediction is that Blu-ray will hold a solid 74% of the home video market by 2017. Which may be projecting a BIT far into the future, as it currently holds around 17% and is rising in popularity all the time. Once TV on Blu starts to catch on, DVD will quickly diminish.
Yep, that's pretty much in line with what industry experts are predicting as well. So in the end, DVD will have had roughly a 20-year lifespan - comparable to VHS and Laserdisc!
Hi Sean. Sorry to bother you but I'd like to ask you a question. I've never see Bladerunner and was wondering which version I should watch first? your input would be great!
For your first ever Blade Runner viewing, I highly recommend starting with The Final Cut! it's Ridley Scott's definitive cut of the film, and has all the best elements from the various versions. After that, I recommend checking out the International Cut, as it was the version most people were familiar with until the 1992 Director's Cut (which isn't really a Director's Cut). Plus it plays out differently than the Final Cut. After that, have fun exploring the different versions!
The reason the box set was not released on Blu-Ray was probably that Sex & The City skews very much to the female demo and lets face it, the female demo will be one of the last to adopt BR en mass. This is the same demo that still buys full screen DVDs (Sex & The City was one of only a dozen or two new movies that even came out in a full screen version last year).
I Am Legend would skew more male and Casablanca skews more classic cinema fan, two demos that would adopt Blu-Ray faster.
Very good points, I didn't think of it that way. I guess Annetta is the exception to the rule - she LOVES Blu-ray and is eager to upgrade her collection.
Plus the PS3 currently has the best BD-Java implementation, WAY faster loading than most standalone players, and is dead easy to upgrade the firmware. We use ours for pretty much everything - CD, DVD, Blu-ray, even video files downloaded off the internet! :)
People unfamiliar with the material must think from the title that you're reviewing two pornos.

It's actually six minutes longer, so it's pretty good.

This second version is far better that the original recording the PC chewed up (I hate technology when it messes up.) Keep up the good work!

Well i wouldn't say the movie resolved the series...i guess that's why they're doing a movie sequel. (:

Hmmmm. Of course, Argento and Fulci are pretty gory too. I would think if she can take those, she can take a lot. Just a thought.

Are you selling them to a certain place or other collectors?

thats very interesting.
I'm predicting DVD will have another 10 years.
I am still a big DVD supporter, even though I've been buying more and more Blu-Rays.

Dear Zaranyzerak (aka blu ray guru)
do you know if there is a blu ray version of lord of the rings or if one is coming out as i really want one.
ant851114 3 years ago
You're not the only one, ant! That and Star Wars are tow of THE most wanted Blu-ray releases.
Nothing definite on LotR yet, just a promo insert that showed up last October saying ti was coming to Blu in 2009. Beyond that, we've heard nothing.
