Give your harddrive orange juice, it contains lots of vitamin C. ;p
And write 'Fix Problem' on a the harddisk, because then the harddisk will learn 10 letters of the alphabet. xD

i have seen the inside of many hard drives but never one running before... if u conciser this running

The spindle suffers from no luberication, the head is badly damadged

Did it run ok after you hand-spun it? I imagine it didn't last too long after you popped the top but if that's all it needed to boot up for recovery that's pretty cool :)
