@fadedsummerdream55 Most people who are real aid workers spend more than 6 months in a single place. Problems just don't go away on their own over a weekend. Full-time aid workers have time so it's possible to spend more than 6 months in a refugee camp. One person's help does makes a difference. My problem with Jolie is she seems to take all the credit and attention whilst she doesn't do actual real aid work. I don't hate her per se, I just think she is a phony who is obsessed with her image.

@fadedsummerdream55 She works in group project but why does it seem she takes all of the credit? It’s because her role is to use her celebrity to shine light on issues. People see her as the face of the UNHCR while other workers remain anonymous and faceless. That is taking credit for the work of others. Her work is separate from the work of others.

People allow someone close that they know to babysit their kids who have experience. If I was friends w/ her than yes I'd let her babysit them, she takes care of 6 of her own but I don't know her personally. And she owes the public nothing, so why does she constantly have to tell them everything about their life. Just to please them to show she's honest? But anything you say doesn't hold much credibility because clearly I have been around much more than you and have dealt w/ pple with dark past, volunteered w/ people Jolie has been around, and also lived on the other end, being born in a 3rd world country. @fadedsummerdream55 According to the un.org he United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) provided assistance to 25.1 million people in 2007 – an all time high. She was very active in 2005 and 2006 but there is a rise in refugees in the two years after 2005 from 9.9 million to 11.4 million refugees worldwide. Looks like Jolie isn’t helping much.

The conclusion is her efforts are reported to be very superficial in the media. Also, I have respect for an incredible amount of people whether they are famous or not, and the reason I like Angie is because she IS famous and DESPITE her fame, she does what MOST people in Hollywood don't do. Most people who do bad things wouldn’t get away with much. She got away with illegal drugs; normal people who get caught with illegal drugs spend years locked up in prison. This woman got caught with drugs and has not paid the price.

@fadedsummerdream55 Uh, losing your virginity as a child is a big deal. 14 years old is still a child and there are laws in place to prevent adults from raping kids. So yeah, losing ones virginity at a tender age is a big deal. You don’t have a personal choice as a minor since you are under the age of consent 18 and under the age to do anything legal. We're talking about the laws of the US not other countries, so other countries need not apply.
