is it 3ft in height or depth? thats an amazing viv you got there. im currently doing a rock wall project of my own. im using polestyrene and will coat it in pva and then some non toxic paint to give the rockies effect. is that what you used for your rock effect? p.s im looking to do an amazing setup and i couldnt help but notice your welsh butt. are you anywhere nere llantwit? coz i need some advice and your setup is clearly amazing. also, im completely lost as to what to do next
That's brilliant man, get into building them full time, I bet it costs slot to run that, I got a 4ft x 2ft x2ft viv and that costs about £20-£30 a week in electric
Man, I'd pay you to make something like that for my dragons. I'm gonna combine my two 40 gallon breeders and make one 80 gallon and I had something like this in mind. Super excited to start!
Would you recommend this sort of a project for an amateur to build? I've very little experience in crafting these sorts of things, though I do plan to get another beardie soon and I want to give him a larger setup. Perhaps not as colossal as this, though. Anyone's reply would be greatly appreciated :)
@arterialshadow just think about what u want to achieve and picture it in your mind, then carve individual pieces with a bread knife and clue blocks together to make bigger rocks and so on, just keep adding them. it always looks crap until you add the grout and paint. but remember to carve anything deeper than normal as the grount fills up too much of the space otherwise. Good luck
Awesome vivarium. Im planning to get one bearded dragon for christmas, with vivarium and all most important stuff. I want to have more of them some day, and here is my question. In shop they told me that it's the best to have one beardie. Aren't yours fighting etc? Are they mixed? Like male and female. Thank you for answer. Outstanding vivarium overall :) They are very lucky to be yours.
any got any ideas on the perfect sized tank for each stage of the beardies life starting at baby all the way up to fully grown im thinking about 2 at the moment thanks :)
Ok thanks I might get 2 bearded dragons, I got told they can live by there own but I think they r better in pairs or groups. How do I get my parents to get me 2 bearded dragons cause they said I might only be aloud one, have u got any ideas????
Hi what size of tank would I need for 2 bearded dragons, could u also tell me please how big a tank I would need for 3 bearded dragons. Please help me ????
@TheRoachHut awesome, thanks alot. Im currently building a room in my basement and i have a room within my room that has a hole in its wall to fit my terrarium, but i want to make a massive one behind the wall completely from scratch, Hopefully it comes to fruition. lol

@directearnings i have many dragons in there i dont feed crix they smell and are noisy i only use roaches, much better for your animals and make no noise dont smell and die if they get out. on top of that if they do get away they always come out to feed on the veg, they are never missed a second time lol
coolest viv EVER!!!!!! building one now. thanks for the tips. saved me a fortune. tired of supporting the local over priced pet store. all the stuff i wasted money on. should have looked here sooner lol. lesson learned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wondering just how your ventalation works. you mention the bath exhaust fan pulling out the hot air, are you using another for the intake aswell or just letting the exhaust do all the pulling?or is that the vacume that you speak of? my next question is about your lights. what do you mean by the lights not being statted? i only ask because you have inspired me to build one. mine is only going to be 60"x30"x36" since it will be my first atempt at building one.
@lnkheartLMS yeah the intake is not powered as when air is drawn out by extraction this creates a negative pressure which pulls in fresh air. the lights are not run through habbistats and therefore they do not go out when it gets too hot. this is where the extraction kicks in. the extraction is run through a cool stat and once it hits 85 it kicks on and reduces the temp to just below that. thia allows the lights to be staged
For those of you with reptiles we now have a new page dedicated to roaches visit us at theroachhut.co.uk and u can also search for us here and facebook under The Roach Hut

@knightreplica Hi again. I will Pay you if you build one of these for me and ship it to my House. I seriuosly Will. I can even call you on the phone or e-mail you. Can you tell me how much it would cost if you would build one for me? It does'nt have to be as big as this one if you can't make another this big if you do. Please consider thinking about it. I won't be getting a Beardie for about 5-6 Months. Please please Consider it! Thank you!!!
