in regards to classless U2 fans booing The Alarm off stage, when U2 came to Utah long ago to open for Black Sabbath, they too got booed off stage. took them a LONG time to show their faces back in Utah again.
this guy lives quite near to me. hes always in the local paper doing charity work. i see him out and about quite alot, but have never spoke to him. he seems like a nice chap.
THis is the singer throwing himself off as the entire original band.. What a dickweed!!. That s not Dave Sharpe or any other original ALARM player.. What a Douche..Just say I used to be in a band but my ego got to big for everyone so now I can give anyone a name whether they deserve it or not??!
i saw them support the jam at deeside and they were billed on the ticket as the second support act ,no one gave a fuck who the first support act was but tell you what we all came away talkin about how great the jam was and also this song
Pretty amazing stuff. I'm very glad I got to see them with their original lineup a couple times in Boston in the late 80s.
One person commented that the Alarm opened for U2 and were booed off the stage. Unfortunately, I have read accounts of that European tour and it is true that they were. Pretty common for U2 opening acts, though. I saw Primus get booed mercilessly when they opened for U2 at the Boston Garden in 1992.
A little Strength........still...going......while standing upon rock in the rain in the summertime....a little down the road....from Jericho...... someone sound the Alarm.....for I think there is another great Album left in this world...great job on the Video.....
I would to loved to have seen that ..did you go ?? ...The Alarm...Mike and lads...they used to come to my town in the eighties just to chill and have a laugh....I used to go out with them ..and i had a little thing going Mike hahaha them were the days......
saw them at the edinburgh playhouse around 1985 and they absolutely ROCKED!!! i seem to remember them all swapping instruments with each other and playing them on different songs!!! . . incredible!
the alarm were fucking brilliant! a little biased as was brought up in Rhyl and Prestatyn. Worked with Steve Peters making bouncy castle back in the late eighties. Top top band!
This comment brings disgrace to such an uplifting, inspirational group as The Alarm. It's obvious you're not a fan, such ilk is not attracted to grace & beauty.
Heard this song as a young pup years ago, then downloaded a couple more lately. Superb. Ricky Warwick, does/was he singing with them? Saw him come on and sing with SLF a few years ago.
What a class act, these guys played their hearts out

What is the reference? What does 68 guns MEAN?
pig199fly200 4 years ago
It refers to the Paris student riots of 1968, which spread throughout the world and changed the whole ideology of student life.
