God judges hearts, let us not do that for Him. Second, all dance and music was made by God. Man perverted it. But Bharatanatyam does not belong to anyone religious group. So as long as we use music and dance to praise God that is what matters - God gets the praise. We use Tabla, Sitar and other instruments like flute which are used for other types of religion worship also, so we cannot classify those instruments are not Christian - that would be foolish. So all music and dance belongs to God.

God judges hearts, let us not do that for Him. Second, all dance and music was made by God. Man perverted it. But Bharatanatyam does not belong to anyone religious group. So as long as we use music and dance to praise God that is what matters - God gets the praise. We use Tabla, Sitar and other instruments like flute which are used for other types of religion worship also, so we cannot classify those instruments are not Christian - that would be foolish. So all music and dance belongs to God.

I agree that Bharanatyam is Divine...But, wht you mean by wrong abhinaya? I agree the dance they perform here in Bharathanatyam costume is not Bharanatyam per say, but its not disco either. Do you know that in Indian classical dance like Bharatham, they do have the Kurathi dance which is off the mainstream Bharatham....but again its not scorned. Appreciate wht they are trying to here, rather than being a racist or religious zealot.

Remember Tamil is teh only language which has classics based on al major religions. HInduisim( Ramayana) Buddhism( Manimakalai CHritianity( Thembavani)etc.Ancient Tamils were all Saivite Hindus. Then a some Tamils got converted to Vaishnvite Hinduism and Buddhism toJaninism . St Thomas converted many of teh them Tamilin Kerala and Chennai to Christianity .
