Oh I didnt realize you were in ubuntu, im on full desktop mode. I actually like the stock xandros, albeit using a custom 2gb kernel. I fixed it though you just have set the sound rate higher in the zsnes settings. Thanks!
You're right, it does seem to be dropping frames. Even though I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 off of a class 6 SDHC card, I may be able to run ZSNES faster off of the internal SSD.
It's dual boot. The original OS is on the internal drive (SSD) and Ubuntu 7.10 is on a 4GB SDHC card. Ubuntu runs very well on the EEE. ZSNES works much better after I changed the sound drivers to OSS.
Thanks for the reply, i should be getting one of these in the next couple of days, well provided the online shop i ordered it off gets them into stock, i've had one on order for over 6 weeks now!
I can help people get Zsnes on their laptop. You don't even have to install it!
It's actually from the Eee PC website, too.
Just PM me!

is there a way to fix the cheksum of a game all the roms i download say fail and i cant play anything?
enad1the1great 4 years ago
I would try to download the roms from a different source. Don't unzip the roms, open the zipped roms with zsnes.

my sound is crackly, how did you fix it?

In Ubuntu 7.10, switch from ALSA sound to OSS sound in system administration.
