@LoveHedgies I am not certain of his exact age. I had Razzle for three wonderful years, so I know he was older than three. We can guestimate that he was probably 3-1/2 years old or so.

omg this video is so sad it made me cry. i know he had a great life with geat ownes but what really got to me was when you were filming those clips he was there... but now hes not and that made me really sad. Im getting a hedgehog in 2 weeks but this didnt change my mind about getting one because id rather have a few sad weeks and lots of great years then to miss out on what coud have been :)
So cute, so sad. Pets arent with us long enough. I've never had a chinchilla. I have several pets, but my special baby is my ferret Susie. I forget where I heard it, but someone said they thought that pets were with us for only a short time to teach us that the heart can love again when we get another pet, even though we never forget the ones we lost.

This made me teary eyed. I just lost my chinchilla after 13 years. I love having pets but its so hard losing them. I was thinking of getting a chinchilla so was watching videos to see how they are. I will wait a while to get over my little Tigger Tigger......thank you for sharing this video.

I only got Kito on Dec.18, 2009 but I've had Willow for 8 months now, I can't even imagine loosing her. Thinking about it now almost makes me want to cry a bit. Honestly, I'm an 11 year old boy and I almost cried. I actually had to go fast through some parts of this video because I was going to burst into tears. When I heard my dog had passed away when I was about five, I didn't cry but this made my eyes fill with tears. That usually doesn't happen. Thank you for putting this video up, it was very beautiful. Are they both male? Just be careful not to house them together or leave them together unsupervised. Hedgehogs are solitary animals and prefer to live alone. Two males will fight. Even if they seem "ok" now - it is never wise to have them together as they can severely injure or even kill each other.

Depends on the dog, I would say. Hedgies are typically very shy, so if you have a dog that would pretty much leave the hedgehog alone, I'm sure they could be good pals! I wouldn't leave a hedgie unsupervised with a dog (or cat) just in case. (More worry for the doggie getting speared!)
Where I live in England we have quite a few wild hedge hogs sadly many of them are killed on the roads .I do my best to help them and make my garden "hedge hog friendly . I do love them and try to protect them the best I can. The wild hedge hogs are a little timid , but if you are gentle and tickle their tummies they soon relax .(you just have to watch out for the fleas ha ha }I love all animals 'thank you for posting .

I feel sorry for you... hedgehogs are the sweetest creatures ever, that is sure. You made a great tribute for him.
One hedgehog came to me this autumn and needed shelter to survive winter, he was too small to live in the garden so we ended up surviving winter together.
Razzle had congestive heart disease, and complications that arose from that. He was a strong boy that put a good fight. We promised him we would do everything possible to give him a happy, comfortable life but would never allow him to be in pain or have his quality of life suffer. That sad day came on July 5, 2007 when Razzle was put to rest (in the video, the last photo of him was that day, and the sky photographs were taken after we left the doctor's office.)
I watched this expecting it to be a child, so this isnt actaully sad... certainly not worth crying over, if you didnt own him as a pet that is

Such a great video.
My cat just passed away, and i loved him with everything.
This song brought tears to my eyes and reminded me just how amazing he was.
It's amazing how we can have such connections with animals.

Razzle was a little over 3 years old (hedgehogs have short life spans, unfortunately). He had a genetic form of heart disease.

Are they both male? Just be careful not to house them together or leave them together unsupervised. Hedgehogs are solitary animals and prefer to live alone. Two males will fight. Even if they seem "ok" now - it is never wise to have them together as they can severely injure or even kill each other.

Certainly opened my eyes to having a hedge hog as a pet. I'll certainly be researching these guys. Since you are obviously knowledgeable Debadoo, how compatible are they with dogs?

Depends on the dog, I would say. Hedgies are typically very shy, so if you have a dog that would pretty much leave the hedgehog alone, I'm sure they could be good pals! I wouldn't leave a hedgie unsupervised with a dog (or cat) just in case. (More worry for the doggie getting speared!)

Where I live in England we have quite a few wild hedge hogs sadly many of them are killed on the roads .I do my best to help them and make my garden "hedge hog friendly . I do love them and try to protect them the best I can. The wild hedge hogs are a little timid , but if you are gentle and tickle their tummies they soon relax .(you just have to watch out for the fleas ha ha }I love all animals 'thank you for posting .

I feel sorry for you... hedgehogs are the sweetest creatures ever, that is sure. You made a great tribute for him.
One hedgehog came to me this autumn and needed shelter to survive winter, he was too small to live in the garden so we ended up surviving winter together.
I am working on the video with him now.

Razzle had congestive heart disease, and complications that arose from that. He was a strong boy that put a good fight. We promised him we would do everything possible to give him a happy, comfortable life but would never allow him to be in pain or have his quality of life suffer. That sad day came on July 5, 2007 when Razzle was put to rest (in the video, the last photo of him was that day, and the sky photographs were taken after we left the doctor's office.)
