@ritubahar, I don't fully agree with you. To my understanding it's a true classic of modern Bangla movie songs. To make things clear, we need to be rational on the definition of 'classic'. I find a reasonable & rational definition, "The word classic means something that is a perfect example of a particular style, something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality." Everyone would agree this is a song lasting beyond age.
It is my grandfather's favorite song...He passed away July 25th 2011....I kindly request everyone to please take just 10 seconds and pray for him. PLEASE!.....His name is Khair Ahmed.....:'(
It's a beautiful song full of emotional longing of a man for his beloved. But this isn't a classic as some viewers have commented. the word "classic" comes from the word "class". Those who have been formally educated in classes and then go into creating arts are called classical artists. Their productions are called classics. From the language of the song it is obvious it is an uneducated sailor's language. So it is a rustic masterpiece, one can say.
@ritubahar one thing I can say....YOU ARE DAMN STUPID.....hahaah...and you think as it was written for in sailor's language it is not 'Classic' rather 'rustic'...feeling to numb to give you logic....
what a master piece!!! seems like I am watching a world class stuff!! look at the expression of Kabori, she remains asleep ,and also the matching of the vocal with Farooq, and also the costume,...and what a direction...
proshongshar kono bhasha nei....... ami remake-ta age shunechhi..... sorry o-par-er bondhu-ra.... temon bhalo exposure nei about Bangladesh movies...... kintu eta shonar por remake-ta khub-i jolo lage.....
the song ! the picturization ! the music composition! overall the cinema !! was too much perfect. That's why the song is still adored by audienced of all generations and this will be continued .
Shubir Nandi made a terrible mistake while judging Mamun in "Channel i shera kontho". Mamun correctle said that Mr. Abdul Jabbar pronounced "nongor" here-not noungor. He should appologize to Mamun. He was not arrogant-he just tried to defend himself.
Just a masterpiece. The appeal for this song will remain forever.
