  • It doesn't say it's a "how to" video. What it does say is "whirlwind tour". Meaning that it's a high level overview of a lot of the things that knitting includes. I think the author/producer did a great job!

  • you need to watch people actually doing it slowly, this video isn't too helpful it's just like a basic "this is what you would do if you knew what you were doing" thing. I learned from the knitting books and just going on youtube and looking for ones that people show how to do really up close

  • Thanks for the video! im knitting a scarf at the moment and ive finished my first ball of wool have you any tips on joining the two balls? someone said to but it on the edge and sew it through afterwards is this right?

  • Yes, join at the edge.  Using the strand from the "new" yarn, tie a single knot onto the carrying strand from the "old" yarn. After you knit one stitch, tighten it to match your tension. After you finish the scarf, use a darning needle or crochet hook to weave your ends into the edge. Good luck and happy knitting!
