When the replacement model of F200exr will be out? Don't get me wrong, I really love my F200 camera but I can't wait for the new model with better video more optical zoom and maybe better picture quality. Any guess when the new model will be out???
PS: Please don't increase the megapixels as other manufactures do. There's no reason to increase megapixels/noise in compact cameras!
@toolimbo We currently have a F300EXR model with 15x wide angle lens (24mm). It has very similar quality to the F200EXR. F300 improves focusing using a hybrid af using Phase detection like SLR cameras on top of contrast detection. Check out the videos on F300EXR. btw, there will always be replacement models. CES 2011...
In AutoEXR mode, The camera focuses continuously [...]. The sound of the camera focusing WILL be AUDIBLE. and that IS NORMAL for this camera.
The camera continuously adjusts focus to reflect changes in the distance to the main subject in the focus frame. It helps photographing moving subjects.
In my opinion, it works really well to get sharp pictures but they could have used a bit sound deadening or something. Still doesn't make it anything less than a stellar camera!
